Disease Prevention

The mission of Breast Cancer Alliance is to improve survival rates and quality of life for those impacted by breast cancer through better prevention, early detection, treatment and cure.

To achieve these goals, Breast Cancer Alliance funds screening and diagnostic breast cancer services for underserved and underinsured populations, ensuring that access to early detection is available to women in Fairfield/Westchester Counties.

Breast Cancer Alliance also pursues a distinctive three-pronged mission that includes funding innovative pre-clinical research, young researchers at early stages of their careers, supporting surgical fellowship training, and providing community screening services.

BCA differentiates itself by focusing exclusively on early-stage, groundbreaking research not yet eligible for federal funding, effectively serving as scientific venture capital for potentially transformative treatments.

This strategic approach bridges critical funding gaps, accelerating promising scientific hypotheses from concept to reality while simultaneously supporting direct community impact through early detection programs and advanced surgical training.
