Piraporiando Instituto

Piraporiando is an Institute that works for anti-racist education, implementing its anti-racist education program in schools, companies and public authorities so that black children, young people and women have access to quality education and fair work.

Our goals:

Ensure that the power of diversity is seen by everyone;

Ensure that society recognizes its structural racism;

Ensure that there is intentionality to be consciously anti-racist;

Ensure that there is responsibility to understand that affection is everything that affects.

PROGRAMS:

1. Piraporiando translates the culture of affection into titles created to value diversity, stimulate critical thinking, raise questions, raise awareness and mobilize people to transform society.

2. Telling stories to make history

The purpose of our literary collection is to expand the repertoire of families, especially children, with stories that feature black protagonists and Afro-Brazilian culture as a central theme so that from childhood the public is introduced to a diverse, plural, inclusive and equitable world.

3. Piraporiando also translates the culture of affection into plays that value diversity, encourage critical thinking and creativity. The plays are based on our books.
