The Instituto Identidades do Brasil (ID_BR) is a pioneer non-profit organization in Brazil that is 100% committed to accelerating the promotion of racial equality. Beginning with the Yes to Racial Equality Campaign, we developed a variety of actions to raise awareness in organizations and society. We seek to reduce racial inequality in the labor market, as proposed in item 10 of the United Nations (UN) Agenda for 2030. The mission of ID_BR is to accelerate the promotion of racial equality. That is why we are working to change corporate cultures in favor of expanding the number of black women and men in leadership positions.
Our actions are focused on three pillars:
Employability - We have created the Yes to Racial Equality label, aimed at organizations in order to strengthen their commitment to racial equity, diversity and inclusion in the country. We act in the planning and development of actions to change corporate cultures, aiming to broaden the connection between companies and black professionals through training, lectures, ethnic-racial census, meetups, express recruitment, implementation of work groups, monitoring and analysis of complaints. We also develop customized activities, retention and career acceleration programs for employees of color and endomarketing campaigns to strengthen the dialogue on the agenda in the corporate environment. The Yes to Racial Equality Seal is divided into three evolutionary stages: the stage Commitment with 1 year of actions in the company, the stage Engagement with 2 years and stage Influence with 3 years.
Education - We offer scholarships through the Yes to Racial Equality program aimed at black people and those belonging to the peripheral population, in partnership with several educational institutions: Cellep, Cultura Inglesa, Education First, Ibeu, US Consulate and Fundação Dom Cabral, Fundação Estudar.
Engagement - We have developed actions designed to gather stakeholders with the purpose of raising awareness, sensitivity and engaging organizations and society in favor of racial equality. Some examples of such actions include: a prize focused on mapping best practices, a free forum to connect professionals and companies and a run/walk open to the community. These are In addition to other activities carried out in partnerships with organizations. All actions carried out in accordance with the Yes to Racial Equality seal.
