Desmos Is a Non-profit Foundation with the aim to best manage and utilize surplus goods and pro bono services from companies and individuals, in order to help cover documented needs of social welfare providers in Greece. Simply put, Desmos matches regular and emergency needs with - existing or potential - surplus. Desmos strives to render the donation process simple, targeted and efficient, by undertaking the research, managing logistics and ensuring transparency of transactions, thus encouraging the involvement of the private sector in charitable activities.

Calling upon philhellenes to support volunteer firefighter organizations and to rebuild fire stricken communities. Desmos Non-profit Foundation (www.desmos.org) serves as a hub between donors and beneficiary organizations since 2012. Desmos' operation is based on transparency, accountability and impact assessment and the organization's mission is to match donations from individuals, companies and foundations with recorded needs of the Greek society. We decided to work with them as they have boots on the ground, and a proven track record in other crises of not only being efficient with their fundraising efforts, but sticking around long after the disaster to ensure aid and relief is distributed and received properly.
