Founded in 2011, the Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation is the legacy organisation of one of the world's most iconic leaders and his lifelong partner. The Foundation strives to ensure their uncompromised bravery is celebrated, communicated and curated for posterity.
Guided by the values of its Founders, the Foundation uses the Tutus' rich archival heritage to promote learning, leadership and dialogue. This takes place through its three programmatic pillars : Learning from Legacy, Leading for Humanity and Advocacy for Societal Healing.
By galvanising the courage to heal, the Foundation inspires uncompromised bravery in children, youth, activists, change-makers, and thought leaders to build justice and peace around the world, while embodying the values left to us by Archbishop Tutu.
