The Tiri Pamodzi Institute for Development and Entrepreneurship is an organisation based in Maputo that was set up in 2012 to target young people and women entrepreneurs. Its mission is to promote entrepreneurship and develop projects with public and private partners aimed at the entrepreneurial and social development of young people and women in Mozambique. Tiri Pamodzi's vision is to become a benchmark in project management and the promotion of entrepreneurship involving young people and women, being recognised as a strategic entity that contributes to the country's socio-economic development.
In addition to entrepreneurship projects, Tiri Pamodzi has funded the higher academic education of girls from disadvantaged families who are unable to continue with their studies. To this end, it initially awarded scholarships to 18 girls, and the total number of scholarship holders is 23, of whom 16 have completed a degree and 1 has completed a master's degree in business management and administration.
Tiri Pamodzi intends to continue with its activities and has planned various courses for its target audience, including courses in entrepreneurship, project management, financial management and financing for micro and small businesses, IT, business and event protocol, dressmaking and sewing, English, among others.
