As one of the UK's leading centres of conservatoire education, ArtsEd provides world-class, contemporary training that is focused on the constantly evolving needs of the performing arts industry in the 21st century. Our highly skilled, committed staff share their expertise and their passion for performance with pupils, sixth formers, undergraduates and postgraduates. We do this with energy, verve and joy in a uniquely warm and friendly atmosphere.
Degree students can choose between our exceptional triple threat Musical Theatre training or our contemporary and inclusive Acting training which is split 50:50 between training for stage and screen.
The success of our approach has led to ArtsEd graduates playing a key role in the success of the UK’s creative economy for many years and achieving remarkable success in the industry. They include leading choreographers, directors and producers alongside performers ranging from Dame Julie Andrews, Dame Darcy Bussell and Samantha Barks to Tuppence Middleton, Omari Douglas, Jessica Brown-Findlay, Lashana Lynch and Leo Woodall starring as Bridget Jones’ love interest in the upcoming film Mad About The Boy. It is with immense pride that we can say that whether you’re spending an evening at the cinema, a matinee at the theatre or a cosy night at home you can spot an ArtsEd alumnus.
"The future of this country's theatre tradition depends on centres of excellence such as ArtsEd." Andrew Lloyd Webber, President
How can you support ArtsEd?
Scholarships & Bursaries – If you share our passion for widening access to the performing arts, become an ArtsEd Friend today and ensure that young people can fulfil their potential, whatever their financial background.
By donating funds for our bursary programme, you are directly helping our students with access to their studies which not only improves their mental well-being whilst in training, but the dedication they can apply to their rigorous studies.
There is a £10,000 tuition fee gap for higher education students, and for the Day School students there is currently no bursary funding. We want to make sure that financial barriers do not pose an obstacle to exemplary education and performing arts training.
Our high standard of training, results in a large cost for several reasons, the simplest being the level and quality of contact teaching hours our students receive. We want to keep our fees low to remain inclusive.
