For all who choose hope, we choose you.

Join Us. Be a Dandelion.

We need you. We need all of us.

The climate crisis is the defining issue of our time, touching every aspect of our lives—our health, our food, our security, and our equality. We can't afford to sit on the sidelines. We need everyone—women especially—to join us in demanding bold, urgent action from our leaders. We are building a movement, a global chorus of voices mobilizing 2 billion people to ACT for Climate Justice. Ambitious? Yes. Achievable? Absolutely.

Project Dandelion: A Commitment to Climate Justice

Since 2017, Project Dandelion has activated the untapped power of a global community of women leaders visioning together for collective impact. Our first convening led to a UN Climate Resolution signed by 700 world leaders and presented to the Secretary-General during NYC Climate Week 2017. We have also successfully placed women in top positions through our referral and support networks, and our journey continues.

Our "I am a Dandelion" media campaign, launched during the 2022 NYC Climate Week, engaged leading voices for climate worldwide, amassing over 400M views and supporters. The Dandelion Pin symbolizes resilience, regeneration, and healing—qualities essential for protecting our natural resources and life-sustaining ecosystems. These principles define Project Dandelion's strategic priorities.

Inspired by the African proverb, “If you want to travel fast, go alone. If you want to travel far, go together,” we recognize that today's realities demand rapid solutions and collective journeys to address our greatest challenges. Climate is interconnected with all global issues, including health, food security, and gender equality. Women and community leaders are at the forefront of transformative change, addressing these intertwined challenges. Our "I am a Dandelion" Fund campaign embodies the interconnections of an ecosystem of Connectors, Amplifiers, and Activators.

Why the Dandelion? Because It Represents Us.

Dandelions are resilient, regenerative, and unyielding. They thrive against the odds. They spread far and wide, carried by the wind, seeding new beginnings wherever they land. That’s our mission: to root deeply, grow fiercely, and spread both hope and action. The Dandelions connect the vibrant elements of the climate justice movement—from schoolchildren to indigenous leaders, from local communities to progressive business champions. Women are the heart of this energy—a new force that will galvanize our collective power.

A Movement Needs a Symbol. A Symbol Needs You.

Donating to Project Dandelion means you're not just supporting a cause—you’re part of a movement. A movement that is determined, hopeful, and relentless. Together, we will raise our voices and build a safe climate future that is liveable for all.

When Women Lead, Action Follows.

Join us in this bold journey. Your support will help us expand our reach, amplify women's voices, and drive strategic actions to connect, to amplify and to activate.  With you, we will grow an unstoppable movement toward a just and equitable future.

Join Us. Be a Dandelion.

Together, we can make a difference.

Sewing Seeds of Hope: SEWA x Project Dandelion Fundraiser

Project Dandelion is proud to partner with the Self-Employed Women’s Association (SEWA ), an organization representing 2.9 million women working in the informal economy across India. SEWA’s mission is to ensure full employment and self-reliance for its members, providing security in work, income, food, and social benefits. As climate shocks disproportionately impact these women, SEWA has launched the "Swacch Akash" (Clean Skies) campaign, dedicated to building climate resilience and advocating for clean air, water, and soil. To support SEWA’s vital work, Project Dandelion is raising funds through the sale of beautifully hand-embroidered kurtas and stoles created by SEWA’s artisan members. These women are not only preserving their craft but also building sustainable livelihoods through SEWA Bazaar, their digital social enterprise. Every purchase supports these artisans in overcoming the challenges of the climate and nature crisis and strengthens their ability to secure income in uncertain times. By joining forces with SEWA, Project Dandelion aims to amplify the voices of women in the informal economy and work toward a climate-safe world. Your contribution—whether through purchasing a garment or making a direct donation—will help these women continue their vital work and further our collective mission for climate justice. Together, we can build a livable future for all.

Every Issue is a Climate Issue Fundraiser

CLIMATE IS EVERYONE’S ISSUE. In 2025, we’re making the connection between International Women’s Day and Earth Day bigger than ever. Our campaign will highlight the critical role of the intersections of the climate crisis and other issues impacting women. We will unite messages over six weeks between these two pivotal days into a global movement to move data into dialogue. Through educational advocacy, we will shine a spotlight to galvanize support and action further.
