Preservation Houston is the city’s only nonprofit dedicated to historic preservation education and advocacy across all of Houston. Since 1978, we’ve championed stronger public policy and protections for the places that tell our city’s story. Our members, volunteers and staff have helped shape Houston’s preservation landscape — from securing the city’s preservation ordinance to establishing local landmarks and historic districts, and building a lasting ethic of stewardship in the Bayou City.
