Meet Mavis: the senior kitty getting a second chance

Mavis was found abandoned outside an apartment complex near a rescue we work closely with. It is likely she was dumped in the area and stayed close by not knowing where to go. Spotted by a few folks as she was trying to stay warm this winter, our nearby rescue group worked for several weeks to trap Mavis and get her the care she needed.

It took a few weeks but, they were finally successful! Once trapped, it was quickly obvious that Mavis wasn't feeling well. Mavis was taken to the vet where it was discovered that she has a few special needs that will require ongoing care.

Mavis is around 10 years old and needs to have several teeth extracted so she can eat comfortably. She also has a few medical conditions, including hyperthyroidism, that will require some extra love and attention. Ms. Mavis is a sweet, loving, senior cat who deserves a second chance in a loving home.

Today, we're raising money to get Mavis the care she needs and to help cover the cost of her ongoing medications for her adoptive family.
