At Lil BUB's Big Fund, our mission is to help those companion animals who are most expensive to care for, the most difficult to adopt and who are at the highest risk or euthanasia. We know every animal deserves a chance and we know how much our pets bring us.

To celebrate National Happiness Happens and International Cat Day on August 8th, we've joined with two organizations who embody BUB's mission on Earth: CARE (Companion Animals for Reform and Equity), and My Dog is My Home.

All three of our organizations work to preserve that magic bond, the happiness between pets and people, because we know the true impact that caring for animal brings. Your support allows us to bring our award winning No Bully program to schools everywhere.  Teachers and school leaders trained by us are able to solve 90% of the incidents on their campus.

Sycamore Land Trust is a 501c3 nonprofit conservation organization founded in 1990 to preserve the beauty, health, and diversity of southern Indiana’s natural landscape through strategic land conservation and environmental education.

Sycamore protects 10,319 acres of land on 121 properties by owning and caring for nature preserves and by holding conservation easements that protect privately owned properties. Stewardship of our nature preserves includes restoration projects to improve natural habitat for wildlife, planting over 85,000 trees since 1990, and building and maintaining over 30 miles of trails for free public use. We also operate an Environmental Education Program that connects people of all ages to nature and reaches more than 6,000 students a year.

Sycamore Land Trust envisions a future in which southern Indiana has diverse and abundant habitat for native plants and animals, as well as clean air and water, and people who embrace the connection between a healthy environment and our quality of life.

We are accredited and uphold the highest standards. In 2019, Sycamore became an accredited land trust through the Land Trust Accreditation Commission. Accreditation acknowledges the highest level of achievement in transparency, accountability, and longevity for land trusts across North America. We are also a Guidestar Gold nonprofit.

Protecting the Amazon rainforest and our climate in solidarity with Indigenous peoples

Since 1996, Amazon Watch has defended the Amazon rainforest and our climate in solidarity with Indigenous peoples. Long-term, trusted partnerships with Indigenous peoples — the best stewards of the rainforest — are the foundation for Amazon Watch’s campaigns for climate justice, corporate accountability, and the permanent protection of the rainforest.

The Amazon is home to more than 500 distinct Indigenous peoples. As our planet’s largest tropical rainforest, it stabilizes our global climate and an immense amount of Earth’s biodiversity and flowing freshwater can be found there.

This vital ecosystem and the Indigenous peoples who have stewarded it for centuries face grave threats from deforestation, resource extraction, land grabs, and destructive development projects. The Amazon is facing a tipping point and won't be able to sustain itself as a rainforest if we remain on our current path of destruction.

To move to a turning point, Amazon Watch is advancing the Indigenous-led proposal to permanently protect 80% of the Amazon by securing Indigenous rights to their ancestral territories, challenging the major drivers of rainforest destruction, and mobilizing solidarity funds directly to Indigenous Earth Defenders throughout the Amazon Basin. Their work combines on-the-ground legal, advocacy, and communications expertise and long-term trusted partnerships with Indigenous peoples and organizations.

🌳Amazon Watch’s Amazon Defenders Fund (ADF) provides direct solidarity funding to Amazonian peoples and organizations free of bureaucratic barriers. The ADF supports Indigenous-led initiatives including community organizing, women’s leadership, communal economies, protection of Earth Defenders at risk for resisting destructive development, and crisis response including to wildfires and oil spills. Lil BUB’s Big Fund exists to advocate for special needs companion animals and build a community that celebrates and fosters the human-animal bond. With a focus on animals that are the most difficult to adopt, the most expensive to care for, and are at a high risk of euthanasia. 

Lil BUB’s Big Fund provides access to care for special needs pets nationwide. We work with community leaders, shelters, and rescues nationwide to create special needs focused frameworks. We visit schools to promote kindness and inclusion. Through our work, we share BUB’s message of overcoming adversity and the knowledge that the things that make us different are worthy of being seen and appreciated.

I’m truly a cat lover. I fall in love with everyone I see. They give you unconditional love. I have 4 girls Clara, Bettie Boo, Mia & Tilly.

I gave because I loved Lil Bub. Always gave me a smile. I also gave in honor of my Lulu that passed very suddenly on Memorial Day 2019.
