*Ashes of Identity* tells the story of Israeli archaeologists who, for the first time in history, were called upon to identify Jewish victims not by traditional forensic means but by using cutting-edge archaeological techniques. The scale of destruction by Hamas terrorists—aimed not just at killing, but at erasing Jewish existence—was so immense that even ZAKA, the elite disaster response unit, couldn’t rely on DNA due to the bodies being reduced to ashes.
