As an individual on the autism spectrum, I have personally experienced the challenges of discrimination and the lack of opportunities to prove myself. In light of this, I made the decision to pursue my own nonprofit venture.
Extensive research conducted over several years revealed significant gaps in services and ideas related to disability and mental health. Specifically, there is a glaring absence of training programs for bus drivers, airport staff, and other relevant personnel on the best practices when interacting with individuals from the disability and mental health communities.
Furthermore, there is a notable scarcity of organizations that offer high-quality, impactful speeches aimed at inspiring individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges.
It is with these observations in mind that I founded the I Know Autism Foundation. Our mission is to address these gaps and provide invaluable services in these critical areas.
