Founded in 1913, the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York (GSGNY) is the largest and oldest organization of its kind in New York City. A 501 c 3 organization, GSGNY reaches over 25,000 youth ages 5-18 annually and offers the Girl Scout program in all five boroughs of New York City.

GSGNY’s signature programs include:

  • Leadership Institute, an intensive leadership development experience for grades 6-12;
  • Outdoor experiences at our Camp Kaufmann property;
  • Troop 6000, GSGNY’s program for youth experiencing homelessness;
  • Girl Scouts for All, which supports the inclusion of youth with disabilities;
  • STEM Series, free introductory Girl Scouting programming focused on STEM topics and career
