Together for Children was founded in 1996 in Greece and is a non-profit Association, comprised of nine member charities that work in the field of child welfare. Its aim is to offer every form of assistance to children, young people and families, who face poverty, social exclusion, domestic violence, chronic diseases, mental or physical disabilities and the sickness or death of an immediate family member. The Association reaches out to more than 30.000 beneficiaries every year, irrespective of race, religion and political conviction.  Together for Children is an accountable Association, committed to transparency, responsiveness to stakeholders and focused on delivering impact.  The Association's aim is supported through fundraising campaigns and events and by independent foundations, the business community and individual donors in Greece and abroad. Ten years ago, my wife Patricia and I had a big dream to start World Central Kitchen. We envisioned an organization that would create smart solutions to hunger and poverty, and for many years we saw an amazing impact through our clean cookstoves initiative, culinary training programs, and social enterprise ventures that empower communities and strengthen economies. But we had no idea we would one day be answering the call in Puerto Rico and around the world – “Food First Responders” serving millions of meals each year. In the process, we learned that a small NGO can change the world through the power of food.

Last year, WCK activated in response to dozens of disasters — some of them natural, and some man-made. From serving children in the shelters on our border with Mexico to making deliveries by lamplight to those keeping watch over beaches in Indonesia, our fight to feed the hungry has taken us to more places than we ever expected.

At the same time, WCK continues planting roots in the communities where we work. Our Plow to Plate program is helping to create food resiliency in the face of future disasters. In Haiti, aspiring chefs are obtaining the skills and confidence they need to elevate their careers and the country’s tourism sector.

With your help, we have shown that there is no place too far or disaster too great for our chefs to be there with a hot plate of food when it’s needed most.

Partners In Health is a social justice organization that responds to the moral imperative to provide high-quality health care globally to those who need it most. We strive to ease suffering by providing a comprehensive model of care that includes access to food, transportation, housing, and other key components of healing. We bring the benefits of modern medicine to those who have suffered from the overt and subtle injustices of the world, in the past and in the present. We refuse to accept that any life is worth less than another.

Our mission is to provide a preferential option for the poor in health care. By establishing long-term relationships with sister organizations based in settings of poverty, Partners In Health strives to achieve two overarching goals: to bring the benefits of modern medical science to those most in need of them and to serve as an antidote to despair.

The Food Bank continues to do the day-in and day-out job of making sure vulnerable neighbors get the food they need. Now, we are putting solutions in place, one by one, to be able to continue providing food and helping our community prepare for whatever challenge the COVID-19 presents.

Every year, the Food Bank works with poverty and hunger researchers to try to understand the food needs of low-income San Francisco and Marin residents. This report, called ‘Missing Meals in San Francisco and Marin’ is a look at the meals we provide to our community’s low-income residents through nonprofit and government food programs, and how many more meals are still needed to fill the gap.

This research provides a rigorous assessment of trends in the food landscape in both San Francisco and Marin Counties, and the role of government and nonprofit food providers in meeting ongoing food needs.  The report finds that there are a staggering 35 million missing meals in our service area, meaning that despite historic gains in our local social safety net, we still have much more work to do in our fight to end hunger in San Francisco and Marin.

The Rome Biomedical Campus University Foundation is a non-profit entity with the objective of supporting Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome to serve the mission and the ideals of humanistic-scientific integration. At Noora Health, we believe no human being should suffer because of a preventable medical condition.

Noora Health is focused on improving patient outcomes in public health systems in India, Bangladesh, and Indonesia by training the family caregivers of patients admitted to government hospitals - making them an integral part of healthcare delivery. They develop high quality training and education materials (videos, flipcharts etc) delivered through a train the trainer model for healthcare professionals to use in-hospital to upskill and train the family and patient. They also have a post-discharge follow-up on mobile (via WhatsApp, teletraining, and voice messages) that allows them to share content with families when they return home, be there in a moment of need, answer questions etc. 

They have seen remarkable outcomes – in a cohort of patients, the program reduced post-surgical cardiac complications by 71%, maternal complications by 12%, newborn complications by 16%, newborn readmissions by 56%, and newborn mortality by 18%. 

Noora Health is in the scale-up phase of their work, aiming to reach 70 million caregivers in the next five years (they recently surpassed 3 million), and they are eager to leverage their digital capabilities to achieve this with high fidelity to the quality they are known for.

Contributions are invested for long-term gains, initially in a low-fee Global Stock Index Fund. When a critical time, need, or opportunity arises, we step in to make a grant. Taking a patient approach allows us to wait for a point in time when the highest-impact opportunities are available, which may be years, decades, or even centuries ahead.

### Our Approach to Grantmaking
We're not designed to be a frequent grantmaker; we are primarily an investment account until we reach an extraordinary time and opportunity. Until those moments arise, each year we will make small grants at less than 1% of the Fund's size to the best available opportunities we are able to find in that year. These small grants will build up our grant-making infrastructure and track record. Grant decisions will be made by a dedicated management committee, all with a strong network and expertise on how well-timed grant-making can safeguard the future.

Over half the female population lives below the poverty line ($3.10/day), less than 50% of girls are educated beyond primary school level, and young women in urban areas are more likely to be unemployed than any other group. Meanwhile, Kenya has an alarming lack of skilled designers and construction professionals and booming demand for urban development, particularly housing. This high-potential sector is currently male-dominated, with women representing less than 3% of those it employs. By the end of this century, 40% of the global population will reside in Africa. By 2030, more than half of Africa's population will reside in cities. We are working to ensure that women actively contribute to and benefit from this urban development. Our solution: Buildher recognizes an opportunity in this problem. We designed and deliver an innovative technical training and employment program exclusively for low income earning women that produces semi-skilled artisans and places them with construction industry employers. Our model is designed by women, for women: It enables participants to earn as they learn, significantly increase their earnings, and secure a professional certification that creates opportunities for career growth. Our goal: Buildher will train and empower thousands of Kenyan women through construction. In the process, we will develop a replicable model for gender integration in our industry to deeply impact hundreds of thousands of women across the continent. At the beginning of May, Italy lifted some of those restrictions but  schools, nurseries, day cares and summer camps have remained closed.  In Italy, right now there are about 10 million kids under 18 who are affected by these closures.  No one knows when formal schooling will resume, and everyone feels uncertain. The crisis we are experiencing is the biggest planetary educational crisis we can remember. It is believed that 1 billion 650 million children in the world are still out of school and blocked at home or with limited mobility.  But what will happen after this emergency in Italy and in the USA and in the World? Impact of Covid-19 on the closure of Education System in Italy -Absolute Poverty Risk:   Because of the Coronavirus, many Italians are losing their jobs.  Families don't have access to basic necessities; parents find it difficult to guarantee their children access to primary or early childhood goods (diapers, feeding bottles, wipes, condensed milk, etc.).  ISTAT data shows how 1 in 8 kids lives in Italy in absolute poverty ; that is  1.25 million children. -Educational Poverty risk : During the lockdown, the closure of the school system coupled with the closure of services for kids 0 to 6 represents a return to educational poverty. Lack of values, total marginalization from the social context, isolation, are some of the fallouts of Covid-19 related to the closure of the education system in Italy and in the world. It is not yet clear how many children and young people have dropped off school in recent months, due to the digital divide, but also and above all due to the cultural disparities which many Italian families still face today. This "educational gap" is even wider for children from families in conditions of material poverty.  If an effective response is not provided, there will be a generation of future Italian adults discriminated and abandoned, already during their childhood . -Rising unemployment among women  Many parents — and especially mothers — fear they will be forced to give up their work in order to care for their children, because, as the country slowly crawls back to life,  schools, nurseries, day cares and summer camps remain closed.  Right now, Italian families are living in a situation of great uncertainty," said  Elena Bonetti, italian's minister for equal opportunities and the family. Families needed to feel supported not only during the lockdown, but after, she added.  Strengthening IT equipment for families  Mission Bambini provided with laptops, tablets, and smartphones, to lower income families with limited IT equipment at home. The coronavirus emergency is exasperating the most critical situations of those families who have children with Special Educational Needs or foreign children with linguistic difficulties.  The expected results of this intervention is to reduce as much as possible the social and educational costs that this period of isolation is causing to children, who are at higher risk of not being able to keep up with the school curriculum, compromising their future school years. 
 
 
 Ideation of a on-line platform with the purpose of accompanying the pedagogical growth of children age 0 through 6   www.bambinipatapum.it  .   The platform provides families the tools for the educational management of children in nursery school. Inside there are tips and multimedia content for organizing various activities such as workshops and readings. There is also an online  Consultant session  which gives relief and emotional support to the most fragile or lonely parents at home, who in turn can transmit safety to children.  It's the first platform in Italy to provide this service for children in the age group 0-6.  Thanks to your donations, we could make the contents of the digital platform  also accessible in English to American children too.

 The Digital Educator:  It's an educator supporting the activities promoted within the online platform ( www.bambinipatapum.it )  The idea of online education is to give families access to workshops which are managed online by educator; support is provided to families   through different levels : 
   
 Webinars :  online sessions are scheduled in which parents and children together carry out with the educator various activities, included in the multimedia contents of the platform.  This level of activity is considered less invasive as it doesn't enter into the merits of parental management but is limited to "dealing with" and therefore accompanying the parenting skills of families less directly .    
 Weekly planning of an educational plan : from the platform every week the educators will produce a weekly plan of the activities, present in the platform, that parents can manage with their children. Through two weekly meetings, families will be able to discuss webinars, conducted by educators, on the difficulties encountered and ask for suggestions.  In addition to providing advice, this action involves a transfer of parenting skills between the educator and parents and among parents themselves. 
 
 
 Individualized online accompaniment : it is a service aimed at the most fragile families and follows the same strategy of action described above.  The educator will develop a personalized weekly educational path for the family in difficulty and will try to support it through online meetings. 
   
 Webinar for parents :  to transfer parenting skills to participants, such as relationship management, accompaniment to motor and communication development, conflict management, etc.

 Home education:  The role of the home educator is therefore twofolds: to provide educational support to families as well as to ensure that children are well and protected. The home educator is therefore the role who will go directly to the homes of the families most at risk by supporting them in the management of children and providing them with the tools that can enable parents to accompany their children even in his absence. It will also be the catalyzer of network operators by reporting the most urgent and at risk cases to the Public Social Services. 
 
 Outdoord Education  This means being able to imagine the possibility to carry out outdoor activities with groups of children and parents respecting the required distances. In the summer months therefore during suitable weather conditionsan educator will organize outdoor activities teaching children to play safely.  This would allow mother who return to work to be able to have a place where their children are entrusted, to children to find their educators and companions and resume their educational path, to families to be able to participate and increase their parenting skills .

The world has never faced a pandemic with the potential to reach us all at the same time. While case counts vary, it's clear that Coronavirus is spreading across every country and territory.  Amongst the myriad global communities whose lives and livelihoods have already been affected, are 88 million vulnerable people in southern Africa that are, by social and economic circumstance, at greater risk of suffering from the implications of the virus.  At the heart of the responses to Coronavirus, we must care for those living at the margins of economic and political systems to follow the measures required to flatten the curve, curb the spread and begin the journey to healing. The Southern Africa Trust's work with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and social movements across 16 countries to support their immediate needs, while simultaneously mobilizing their voices to influence the response strategies that various governments are putting in place. We focus on  women in rural areas ,  ex-miners ,  informal and cross border traders ,  domestic workers ,  small scale farmers ,  migrant workers and refugees . Vulnerable communities urgently need fact-based guidelines, practical solutions, as well as linguistically and culturally contextualised information in order to ensure prevention, detection and protection from Coronavirus. The Trust is calling on philanthropic foundations, development agencies and corporates to answer the call of the vulnerable and the CSOs that serve them by giving responsive funding, financing and other resource donations. Transforming healthcare for providers and patients alike with the power of digital technologies 

WECHA is We Change Health for All. Founded in 2017, WECHA is the non-profit arm of Tech Care for All, a social impact company dedicated to sustainably transforming health outcomes in Africa and Asia with digital health. 

Tech Care for All (TC4A) aligns its business with the pursuit of UN Sustainable Development Goal 3, Universal Health Coverage. As the nonprofit affiliate of Tech Care for All, WECHA's mission is to transform healthcare through the dissemination of digital health innovation in countries of the global south.  Like TC4A, WECHA aims to increase people's access to quality care by strengthening the knowledge and skills of healthcare providers.

Tech Care for All and WECHA share the same goal to meet unmet social needs but pursue different operating models. As a social impact company, Tech Care for All seeks to achieve sustainability through earning a profit on products and services that meet important needs in health. As a nonprofit, WECHA focuses exclusively on pursuing high-impact initiatives that meet the most urgent needs in global health. For example, WECHA focuses on areas of major public health importance in low- and middle-income countries, such as maternal and newborn health, cancer, HIV/TB, hypertension and diabetes. WECHA projects can selectively target vulnerable, marginalized populations and the healthcare providers who serve them. 

By 2025, WECHA aims to extend the reach of TC4A's flagship product, Medical Learning Hub, to from our 75,000 registered learners in 2023 to 250,000 healthcare providers working across sub-Saharan Africa and India. Medical Learning Hub (MLH) is a cloud-hosted platform that enables health professionals to search and join trainings globally. MLH handles all training types: on-site events that are face-to-face or even hands-on, self-paced online training, and live webinars or clinical classrooms. 

WECHA is an international not-for-profit association registered under Belgian Law AISBL of 1921 and French Law 1901, equivalent to a U.S. 501(c)3.

Project New Yorker Corporation is a nonprofit organization focused on education. It is based in Jamaica, NY. It received its nonprofit status in 2017.

Project New Yorker is a New York based non profit organization for supporting immigrants and low-income residents who lives in New York. We focus on helping diverse adults and women from all walks of life who may face unique challenges. 

Did you know in NYC many people struggle with limited English proficiency, poverty and overcrowding issues!

That's why we're here to offer essential services and support for immigrants and low-income communities. We're one of the few organizations doing this work in NYC and the only one in Queens, making us a vital resource for those who need us.

Empowering children and youth with disabilities in Rwanda 

Uwezo Youth Empowerment (UWEZO) is a registered local non-government organization that was established on 15th January 2013 by Rwandan youth with disabilities and other colleagues without disabilities from different backgrounds. UWEZO's establishment was to mobilize and build the capacities of children and youth with disabilities from different backgrounds enabling them to actively participate in national and community-based children and youth programmes and enjoyment of their rights like others in the society.  Our Vision A society where children and youth with disabilities and others disadvantaged live independently and enjoy a dignified life. Our mission To serve as platform for children and youth with disabilities to share their experiences and to support them build their capacities and aspirations. UWEZO conducts advocacy for the rights of young people, raises awareness of barriers and challenges of having a disability, leads economical and psychological capacity building and supports social integration through sports and culture. Since 2014, UWEZO implement Over 10 projects aimed at promoting education of vulnerable children with disabilities, secure work and employment for youth with disabilities both formal, informal and non-formal through job creation and professional internships, educate blind people and others in assistive technology, educating them in personal hygiene, SRH, HIV&AIDS, independent living skills and disability rights promotion.
