Our Mission is to preserve the dignity and well being of labor and sexually exploited and trafficked men, women, and children through prevention, intervention, and education.
During the past nine years, BSCC has assessed over 10,000 human trafficking victim referrals in San Diego County and provided comprehensive wraparound services (2005-2021) to over 2,500 human trafficking survivors. Of the domestic survivors identified from 2008-2014, 117 were sex trafficking survivors (including five minors).
BSCC implements services that provides wraparound services through the “victim-survivor-thriver” model that includes survivor identification, emergency housing, intensive case management, and psychological forensic evaluations for legal purposes.
Among our services to empower our client’s transition from Survivor-Thriver, we assist all BSCC clients that are interested in pursuing college or a trade school with their applications for enrollment and financial aid. Among our Thrivers that have pursued continuing their education, we have successfully assisted one woman enrolling into college to pursue medical school, and assisted one client explore flight attendance school.
