Asociación Mexicana de Bancos de Alimentos

Our history began in 1995 when the Asociación Mexicana de Bancos de Alimentos was founded. From 2000 to 2006, we promoted initiatives for food donation, and in 2006, we became founding members of the Global FoodBanking Network. In 2013, our commercial brand (BAMX) was registered. Our mission is to rescue and redistribute food to help reduce food insecurity among vulnerable populations and mitigate the environmental impact of food waste. By 2030, we aim to be the institution with the most effective model to end hunger and food waste in Mexico, guided by our values of integrity, respect, dignity, and transparency in all our operational processes.
