A significant portion of our readers includes those within the 2.2 million individuals incarcerated in the United States—home to the highest incarceration rate in the world. Research shows that participants in reading programs while incarcerated are significantly less likely to be re-arrested after release.

By providing access to books, we offer hope and empowerment, showing that success is attainable for everyone, regardless of their past.
