YWE is exactly what I hope to see more of in the world! Empowering young women with education and resources to escape poverty and violence. Education and mentorship are really the only ways that is accomplished. 

I gave because wedu is one of the platforms to build up my career ladder. 

It is estimated that there are up to 20,000 children orphaned in Gaza. Some are the sole survivors of their family, most are aged between six and ten years of age and over 5% are injured or in need of specialist medical care.

The program aims to respond to the orphan crisis on multiple fronts, from addressing immediate needs to establishing a lasting support system that orphans can rely on until they turn 18.

Donations are spent in five different ways:

Food and clothing
Healthcare
Education and vocational training
Protection and psychological support

My regular donation is re-investment in education for potential women leaders including me.

Growing up I had a genuine curiosity for tech and sciences, but felt it could never be a career for me. I think back and wonder if it was because I never saw someone like me in those careers or were exposed to such opportunities when I was younger. Girls Who Code is opening the door for so many girls and I am so excited for what our future holds. #womenshistorymonth

Educate Girls experiment proved they taught girls to read. $200 taught 1 out-of-school and illiterate girl. $20 enrolled 1 child per year.
