Volunteer Alexandria inspires, mobilizes, and connects people, 6 years and older, to community needs and nonprofit organization.
We connect people to be tutors, pack groceries, deliver meals, answer hotlines, teach bicycle safety, assist with job interviews, clean up parks, and much more. During this pandemic, we collected and distributed over 85,000 masks. Furthermore, we offer a service-learning program for middle and high school students. This program offers students to learn about human services in our community, programs of the City, and how nonprofits address human services. They learn how they can become engaged in those services and make a difference.

Your investment in engagement and volunteerism will make an impact. Some of the work we are planning to do includes:

• Recognizing the many volunteers who have donated their time and talents.
• Implementing a Volunteer Management training including a component on training volunteers on implicit bias and intent versus impact.
• Launching Skills-Connect, a program that matches skilled volunteers with projects that require specific skills, and of course,
• Continuing to connect people to causes.

Volunteer Alexandria is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
