Over half of Mongolia’s 3.5 million people live in Ulaanbaatar, facing some of the worst air pollution in the world. This pollution, largely caused by coal briquettes and coal-powered plants, poses severe health risks, with many residents suffering from respiratory diseases, including cancer.
