Ending Human - Wildlife Conflict in Zambia
The Antoomwe Campaign is an initiative launched to address the escalation of human-wildlife conflict around the Mosi Oa Tunya National Park. Zambia is currently facing a devasting drought that has led animals, especially elephants, to abandon the National Park and occupy communities in search of water and food. Often, this results in the tragic loss of both human and animal lives.
UNDP Zambia aims to raise $100,000 to fund key interventions like establishing water points in Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park for wildlife, providing alternative livelihoods for local communities around the National Park, and conducting education campaigns to foster coexistence between people and wildlife.
Join the Antoomwe Movement, together we can safeguard the lives of both humans and wildlife, ensuring a future where they can coexist peacefully.
