The International Rescue Committee responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover and gain control of their future. In more than 40 countries and in 26 U.S. cities, our dedicated teams provide clean water, shelter, health care, education and empowerment support to refugees and displaced people.

The PDMSh was founded in 2014 to provide medical aid in the areas of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) and, since May 2018, the Joint Forces Operation (JFO). Before full-scale invasion of Ukraine, our volunteer medics had provided timely and qualified medical care to more than 56,000 patients. We worked at 49 locations in the east of Ukraine, including frontline hospitals, entry-exit control points (EECPs) and temporary deployment points. 

Now we face greater challenges due to unprovoked and brutal invasion of our country. Since the first day of this invasion, our dedicated volunteers have been on the frontline in combat areas across the country. They selflessly risk their lives to help both civilians and combatants, the wounded and the sick.

After our active participation in the Kyiv campaign in February-April 2022, where we managed to simultaneously provide 12 ambulances and carry out thousands of trips and medical evacuations from the front line, our focus shifted to Eastern Ukraine. In May 2022, we set up medical stations in the east of Ukraine, including in Bakhmut, Sloviansk, Chasiv Yar, Kostyantynivka, Lyman and Rai Oleksandrivka (the latter two are still operating).

The big international organizations like International Red Cross (ICRC) or Doctors Without Borders (MSF) are not present due to the extreme and difficult conditions.  We are however just a volunteer organization, and we need your support now more than ever.  While working in the most difficult areas in the east of Ukraine from May 2022 to May 2024, Pirogov First Volunteer Mobile Hospital volunteers provided medical assistance to more than 36 594 patients.

The active areas of development of PFVMH are increasing the number of medical teams and ambulances that will work as emergency units for medical evacuations from the most difficult areas in the east. The expansion of the voluntary membership of the PFVMH will require more funds to ensure the accommodation and security of the personnel and their ability to treat wondered, which will allow us to save even more lives. 

Among other necessities, there are the capability of the fast and complete maintenance of vehicles, availability of sufficient amounts of fuel, medical products, and medicines, as well as proper conditions for accommodation of volunteers and ensuring their protection.

Ten years ago, my wife Patricia and I had a big dream to start World Central Kitchen. We envisioned an organization that would create smart solutions to hunger and poverty, and for many years we saw an amazing impact through our clean cookstoves initiative, culinary training programs, and social enterprise ventures that empower communities and strengthen economies. But we had no idea we would one day be answering the call in Puerto Rico and around the world – “Food First Responders” serving millions of meals each year. In the process, we learned that a small NGO can change the world through the power of food.

Last year, WCK activated in response to dozens of disasters — some of them natural, and some man-made. From serving children in the shelters on our border with Mexico to making deliveries by lamplight to those keeping watch over beaches in Indonesia, our fight to feed the hungry has taken us to more places than we ever expected.

At the same time, WCK continues planting roots in the communities where we work. Our Plow to Plate program is helping to create food resiliency in the face of future disasters. In Haiti, aspiring chefs are obtaining the skills and confidence they need to elevate their careers and the country’s tourism sector.

With your help, we have shown that there is no place too far or disaster too great for our chefs to be there with a hot plate of food when it’s needed most.

Each student will be working on a research project under the supervision of a faculty member.

KTH Ukraine Scholarship Program - though the KTH Ukraine Scholarship Program you can make a great difference by helping KTH support researchers and students fleeing from Ukraine. KTH offers researchers the possibility to continue his/her research at KTH as a guest researcher. KTH is also working to provide scholarships for gifted students from Ukraine.

KTH Baltic Tech Initiative - KTH is engaged in cross-disciplinary research projects aimed at working for the future health of the Baltic Sea. Through innovative technological research, such as sensors for monitoring the ecosystem in the sea and environmentally friendly transport systems, KTH researchers and students work to create local solutions that can be used for global water challenges.

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international medical humanitarian organization created by doctors and journalists in France in 1971.

In over 70 countries around the world, MSF saves lives by providing medical aid where it is needed most—in armed conflicts, epidemics, natural disasters, and other crises.  The people who work for MSF are doctors, nurses, midwives, epidemiologists, water-and-sanitation experts and many others who combine their professional expertise with a commitment to the world’s most vulnerable people.  Each year, these medical teams run close to 470 projects where they care for millions of people.  

As an organization, MSF is neutral and operates independently of any political, military, or religious agendas. It does not take sides in armed conflicts, provides care based on needs alone, and advocates for increased independent access to victims of conflict and disaster as required under international humanitarian law. Medical teams conduct evaluations on the ground to determine a population's medical needs before opening programs, aiming to fill gaps that exist (rather than replicating services that are already offered) or reach communities that are not being assisted.  Over the years, the organization has been the recipient of several awards that recognize its work, including the 1998 Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize, the 1999 Nobel Peace Prize, the 2012 J. William Fulbright Prize for International Understanding, the 2015 Lasker-Bloomberg Public Service Award, and the 2017 Pardes Humanitarian Prize for Mental Health.

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) 

BEforUkraine is a non-profit with the mission to help the people of Ukraine in the most effective way.

BEforUkraine is a citizens’ initiative to help Ukraine 

Launched in March 2022 by a group of friends and entrepreneurs appalled by the war in Ukraine. The initial mission was to bring medical & technical equipment and to help Ukrainian refugees. 

In March 2022 we facilitated the arrival in Belgium of 240 Ukrainian refugees, mainly women, and children. We identified, vetted, and matched host families for the refugees. 

As of today, we successfully purchased and transported 68 ambulances and 2 school buses to Ukraine. 

The ambulances are converted into mobile hospitals.  

We are now raising funds to buy another school bus. More than 2000 schools (incl the school buses) have been destroyed by the war. This project was founded and is led by high school students because they believe that every child deserves the right to education. Razom, which means “together” in Ukrainian, is an organization with a singular mission: to build a more prosperous Ukraine. Razom was born out of the Revolution of Dignity in 2014. Following the unprovoked, full-scale attack on Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Razom quickly mobilized an Emergency Response Fund focused on saving lives. Together we delivered hundreds of thousands tons of critical medical supplies, tens of thousands of the individual first aid kits for the soldiers, evacuated children from disability from war zone, and to provide tens of thousands of hot meals, distribute thousands of grocery packages to the elderly and disabled, evacuate critically ill patients and families from dangerous areas, support families of veterans, renovate homes for displaced families, among other initiatives.

Peace Boat Disaster Relief (PBV) was founded in 2011 by its sister organization, NGO Peace Boat. PBV inherited the philosophy, “disaster relief beyond borders contributes to the creation of regional and global peace” and the experiences of NGO Peace Boat which had engaged in disaster relief efforts in Japan and overseas since the Great Hanshin Awaji Earthquake in 1995. PBV has carried out diverse relief projects in 70 communities across Japan and 26 countries since its foundation.

We Provide Financial Assistance To Vetted Organizations Addressing Humanitarian Needs In Ukraine

The occupant military continues to target the Ukrainian civilian population and infrastructure with its bombs, drones, and missiles. Many times this results in the loss of electrical power within the cities, towns, and villages. During the winter with its typical sub-freezing weather and the dark of night, many Ukrainian families are left without light, heat, power for basic appliances, and power to recharge radios, mobile phones, and tablets which are desperately needed to maintain communications with family, friends, and emergency management. 

The mission of this fundraiser is to obtain funding to procure and deliver acceptable portable electrical power generators to Ukrainians to provide the urgently needed electrical power. The amount of the raise will determine the actual generation capability of the donated electrical power generators. Our initial focus is on family-sized portable generators. As more funds become available, larger generators can be procured to power buildings, aid stations/hospitals, schools, and other needs.

We are working with Angels For Ukraine to ensure the best allocation and distribution of these much needed generators.

UA Generators Project

Church Leadership Development International provides training and resources to churches in crisis areas, especially in Ukraine.

Since 1992 Church Leadership Development International, CLDI, has been providing training and resources to churches in the former Soviet Union. When Ukraine was invaded in 2022, CLDI has focused on bringing humanitarian aid and other resources to churches along the front lines in Ukraine. Other resources have included water filter systems for churches to serve their communities with clean drinking water, heaters, generators, and trauma counseling materials. CLDI has helped churches in crisis areas with refugee assistance. CLDI has also provided humanitarian aid and resources to churches in western North Carolin in the aftermath of hurricane Helene.

Providing Ukrainians, a supply of food by partnering with local Ukrainian based organizations such as bakeries and suppliers.

Ukrainian Care Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing Ukrainians a direct supply of food and humanitarian supplies by partnering with locally based Ukrainian organizations such as bakeries and other food production facilities.

We provide nourishment to Ukrainians in need.

By preventing hunger and malnutrition, we empower Ukrainians to overcome injustice, displacement and poverty while rebuilding their lives.

Founded in March 2022 in Oregon, Ukrainian Care began as a local organization dedicated to humanitarian supply collection and shipment directly to Ukraine. 

As of today, they have collected more than 900 boxes of supplies that were shipped via air and sea freight. Those items were then distributed to Ukrainian communities by local humanitarian organizations within Ukraine.

We are currently focused on providing affected Ukrainians a direct supply of free bread.

The founder, Klavdia Ancheta Moore, is an American citizen, but grew up in Berdyansk City, Ukraine. Klavdia currently resides in Oregon and founded Ukrainian Care because of her love and dedication to her home country and its people.

JCC Warsaw is a safe, caring, people-driven and inclusive space which brings together community members and newcomers interested in exploring, defining and redefining diverse Jewish identities through informal Jewish education and Jewish culture. 
We encourage intergenerational connections and mutual responsibility.
We enable a sense of community accompanied by joy and trust.

The JCC Warsaw opened in October 2013 in response to the need observed within the Jewish community of Warsaw. We started our operations from running a few cultural and educational programs for children, families and adults, held at different cultural venues around Warsaw. For the past ten years we have had the pleasure to run activities at our JCC building and outside of it, offering over 20 regular programs, 3 annual sleep away camps and several special events.

In June 2021, by an initiative of a group of active members and lay leaders, JCC Warsaw was registered as an independent local Foundation. Becoming an independent organization has meant creating brand new organizational structure, bringing together capable professionals and both already engaged and emerging lay leaders. With the anniversary of the opening upcoming in October 2023, we are at the same time getting ready to celebrate the tenth anniversary of our operations and still working on building a self-sufficient, sustainable organizational structure. 

One thing that has not changed throughout the first decade of our activity is that our JCC, frequently called “our little home” by the members, is always open and welcoming for members of our community and their families and friends.
We embrace the community in its entirety, consisting of varied individual Jewish narratives. 
We honor all personal stories and emphasize the need of building new connections between all different members of the community.

JCC Warsaw proudly stands as the epicenter of Jewish connections, nurturing vibrant cross-generational relationships that form the bedrock of our community. Through a diverse range of activities and initiatives, we foster bonds that transcend age boundaries. In some cases we start with age-specific programming, which is the case of the Moadon kids' club that offers engaging activities blending Jewish values, culture, and fun, allowing children to explore their heritage in a joyful and interactive way. One of our dreams for the future is to expand Moadon's activities from weekly meetings to meeting also any time there is an adults event.
On some other occasions, we get to bring representatives of different generations to immerse in Jewish experiences together, for example coming from all corners of Poland to join our sleep away family camps. Both Camp Atid and family sleep-away camps equip our members with lasting memories, friendships rooted in shared experiences and a love for Jewish traditions.

Looking back at the first decade of our activity, JCC Warsaw, undoubtedly, has been keeping the Jewish spirit alive despite different hardships coming our way. With such a long Jewish history as the one of Polish Jewry, including the chapter of irreparable losses brought by the Shoah, followed by the communal life suppression under the communist regime, cultivating individual and collective Jewish identities has been no easy feat. While accommodating to the post-pandemic new normal, marked with the society wide trend of withdrawing from social life, we couldn't have seen what was to come in February 2022. 
Yet in the light of the invasion in Ukraine and the huge refugee crisis it has brought, both the local Jewish community and the wider Polish society have shown up to help out millions of Ukrainians fleeing war. 
Having experienced living as a minority and being driven by the value of tikkun olam - the Jewish concept of repairing what is broken in the world, right after the invasion we have opened the JCC doors to the Ukrainian refugee community and have been sharing our home ever since. Over a hundred families found a safe entry point to their new life in Warsaw thanks to the daycare for Ukrainian kids that we run daily, several hundreds made new connections with each other and with the local Jewish community members joining our kids, adults (focusing mostly on mothers) and family programming. No matter their Jewish background or lack thereof, welcoming new Varsovians coming from Ukraine has become part of our daily routine and despite the fact that the merging process between the “old” and “new” communities may take several years, we are ready and up for this challenge. 

Although we are still feeling absolutely heartbroken after the tragic events of October 7th, 2023 we are aware of the fact that our community needs us now, probably more than ever. We know that many of our members are experiencing loneliness and anxiety. In these trying times we want to reaffirm our mission of being a safe, caring, people-driven and inclusive space bringing people together. We offer a place where where people can talk to each other both about their differences and similarities. We are now opening our refugee daycare program also to the children of Israelis who are coming to Warsaw. As a Jewish community center in Warsaw we can firmly say that we are at our best when we are there for each other.

PROJECTS
Humanitarian aid shipments to Bucha, Ukraine and critical locations inside Ukraine:  In the first two months of the invasion we shipped 12,000 LBS of humanitarian aid supplies, including medical, hygiene, food, clothes, and survival gear.

Ukrainian refugee support:  We obtain visas Ukrainian refugees to come to the U.S., Canada, and Europe.  We find housing for Ukrainian refugees and we obtain pet permits and get emotional support documentation for pets.  We help with local refugee assimilation, e.g., sign up refugee children for soccer teams and provide equipment.

FINANCIAL EFFICIENCY
We spend 100% of humanitarian aid donations received on shipping costs for supplies donated separately and collected by our all volunteer network, moved with donated trucks, and stored in donated spaces. We get financial leverage on cash donations because we don't purchase supplies, we just pay the shipping.

SINGLE CAUSE:  UKRAINE CRISIS
We focus exclusively on direct aid to Ukrainians affected by the invasion so you know exactly which cause you are donating to. All of our volunteers join up specifically to pour themselves into the Ukraine emergency cause.

As a new single cause charity, we are not distracted by legacy programs for the general education and economic well being of Ukraine much less by programs for other countries.

HUMAN TOUCH
I love Ukraine believes the best of humanity will triumph over war atrocity. We call our family and friends in Ukraine daily and ask what they need and listen to their struggles. We decorate our supply shipments to Ukraine with yellow and blue hearts drawn by our own children. We thank our donors individually. We thank God for the help we have been given and we pray for our Ukrainian sisters and brethren.

HIGH FINANCIAL LEVERAGE
We get high financial leverage on cash donations entrusted with us because we don't purchase supplies, we just pay the shipping, and we minimize the shipping by obtaining discounted shipping prices from FedEx and other carriers. Most of our donations are in-kind donations of baby, medical, hygiene, and survival supplies and clothes. We spend 100% of cash donations received on shipping the in-kind donations which are collected by our all volunteer network, moved with in-kind truck donations to in-kind donated storage spaces. We are 98% efficient because 2.3% of our card donations are taken by stripe. Check donations are 100% efficient.

Here is an example: On March 19, we shipped a truckload of supplies weighing 1,946 lbs to Ukraine. The shipping costs were $2,200. Think what it would have cost to hire an administrator in an office to purchase a ton of supplies before shipping.

We do not send money entrusted to us to uncertain areas. We spend our money with shipping companies here in the U.S. such as Meest. and Ukraine Express. We usually send to iLoveUkraine volunteers that one of our U.S.volunteers has known since childhood.

We send non-military supplies, much of it used, recently expired, or in odd lots, with minimal resale value.  If we have to purchase something, we buy it on Amazon and have them deliver to someone we know in Poland or Slovakia who can bring it across the border. Learn more about our payment gateway compliance which ensures that we are comply with OFAC and other regulations.

We process all payments securely through card industry leader, Stripe, connected to our bank account. Once you begin a donation, our website transfers all authority to Stripe. We never see, handle, or store, your credit, or debit, card info.

ZERO MARKETING AND ADVERTISING EXPENSES
Did you know that the IRS doesn't count marketing and advertising in either of the fundraising or general expenses categories of overhead?

At iLoveUkraine, we want to maintain truly zero overhead on the funds entrusted with us after card processing. Therefore, we don't take advantage of the IRS loophole. Instead, we rely 100% on supporters for in-kind donations of bumper stickers, signage, and online advertising. If you see an add online, it was donated. Thank you!

ZERO MANAGEMENT AND GENERAL EXPENSES
With the generous help of volunteers and donated equipment, iLoveUkraine spends zero money on what is typically the largest overhead category for nonprofits: Management and General Expense. Details listed below.

We operate exclusively with volunteers. For example, our CTO and board member, James Massa, built this website and wrote the content a week after the invasion.

We don't pay for office space because our volunteers work from home, our collections are done at school, churches and the East Hampton airport. We also hold our donations for a few days in a large church facility until we have enough for a big truck.

We don't pay equipment because we use our own computers and our trucks are all donated

Our legal and accounting work is done pro bono

We don't pay insurance because we don't have any equipment offices, or employees

We don't need a finance manager because we only keep an average of $2,000 in the bank, and that much only to eliminate minimum balance fees

We use the free ten licenses that Salesforce affords to non-profits

ZERO FUNDRAISING EXPENSES
With the generous help of volunteers and donated spaces, iLoveUkraine spends zero money on fundraising. For example, our first event, a scavenger hunt on April 03, 2022, is outdoors and in local stores which kindly agreed to participate. Buy tickets tax free for to help Ukrainians.

WHY UKRAINE IS URGENT
The U.N. says that 50% of Ukrainian children are now displaced with another child displaced nearly every second.

As per the United Nations May 13, 2022,
6,111,172 refugees have fled the Ukraine neighboring countries, especially Poland. Most of the refugees are women and children, usually leaving behind men who are fighting or dead. No man between the ages of eighteen and sixty may leave the country unless they have a disability or are the father of at least 3 children.

Of those who can leave the country, many are elderly and often incapable of fleeing even though they are permitted. And how would they survive in a new country if they did?

Refugee life is not for the feint of heart. Most refugees have little money and take only what they can carry on a train. Many are even on foot. Typically, they have their arms full with pets and children so they can't take much more but a spare set of clothes.

The trip to safety is often long, always draining, and sometimes dangerous. For example, it is eight hundred miles by train from Kiev to Poland. Lines at the border of up to eight days long. By the time refugees cross, they often haven't slept or eaten or even drank for days. Many are traumatized with PTSD from the things they have seen, run from, and left behind. Thankfully, at least the cold is letting up now with average temperature on the Polish border town of Dorohusk predicted to be in the 60s and 70s this week of May 15.

The U.N. says that 1,698,500 people have returned back to Ukraine. Although sounds hopeful, it is fraught with danger as the returnees face bombs left behind by Russian soldiers in cars, stoves, and refrigerators. Imagine returning home to find your city half-leveled, half-your friends and family gone, and a bomb in your refrigerator.

iLoveUkraine estimates that over 8 Million displaced within the country. Western cities like Khemelnitsky and Lviv are now overrun with displaced families, women, and children. These war victims need basic medical supplies, water, food, electricity, shelter, sanitation, and PTSD counseling.

More than half of Ukrainians live in cities subject to bombing and air raids every two or three hours. as such, iLoveUkraine estimates that over 5 Million people are trapped in bomb shelters. Millions more are certainly trapped in territory occupied by the Russian army where OFAC rules prevent American charities from helping.

Most of Ukrainian businesses are small businesses and according to a survey by the European Business Association, only 13% of Ukrainian small business continue at full capacity. This is easy to understand when you consider how many of the working age men are fighting and the working age women are fleeing.

The EU has granted Ukrainians who flee the war a blanket right to stay and work throughout its 27 member nations for up to three years. They will also receive social welfare and access to housing, medical treatment and schools. Full documentation not required to enter the E.U. but it does help speed the border crossing and assimilation process. The EU refugee assistance is much more than the U.S. has offered. The U.S. has offered to take in a mere 100,000 refugees and given them the right to work for a 50% shorter 18 months. A refugee visa to America requires sponsorship by an American citizen and full documentation of both the refugee and the American citizen.

CHARITY FUND HUMANITARIAN AID TO UKRAINE, CORP.

Russian aggression deprived thousands of Ukrainians of their home, money, clothes, food, and other basic things. However, Ukraine and the rest of the world would not leave them alone with their grief. Financial support is used by Fund to provide food and shelter for refugees and citizens that have been displaced due to military conflict; to provide clothing, shoes, and medicine for them; to buy staple goods for the population; to pay out one-off financial aid and to meet other essential needs of the population.

The International Institute of Los Angeles (IILA) began in 1914 as a response to the needs of women and girls immigrating from Europe and East Asia in adjusting to their new lives in Los Angeles.  Our founding was part of the larger revolutionary vision of a social welfare worker named Edith Terry Bremer, who established the first International Institute in New York in 1910. The **International Institute movement** was unique for its time in its philosophy and approach to this work. It **embraced cultural pluralism by celebrating ethnic diversity** and encouraging immigrants to maintain their native languages, traditions and folk cultures, while also becoming engaged US citizens who contribute to their communities. 

**IILA has played a prominent role in every major refugee and immigrant wave since its founding.** For over a century, we have offered a wide range of services to assist limited-English proficient and low-income individuals achieve self-sufficiency and thrive. Over time, we also **expanded our services** to include a wide array of legal assistance, resettlement of refugees and asylum applicants, survivors of human trafficking, and free or low-cost child care and transportation. We employ over 150 people in 13 locations in Los Angeles County and have a budget of over 20 million dollars. We also have a long history of employing newcomers, who serve as valuable team members who can provide culturally sensitive assistance to those in need.

Our **commitment to upholding the dignity and supporting the self-sufficiency of refugees and immigrants** is as unwavering today as it was at our founding.  We know that new arrivals bring a vibrancy and richness, as well as economic strength, to Southern California and the wider United States that is vital for our continued growth and success.

Friends of Be an Angel provides humanitarian aid & civilian evacuations for the most vulnerable in Ukraine during a time of war.

Friends of Be an Angel, together with Be an Angel and the Women's For Future organization, provide for those most in need in Ukraine during a time of war. We work with in-kind donations and humanitarian aid, then organize delivery to the most severely affected regions in Ukraine. Additionally, the team coordinates the evacuation of vulnerable people from Ukraine. So far, we have managed to provide 4,700+ tons of aid and have evacuated 18,000+ civilians.

The are nearly 6.6 millions of internally displaced persons in Ukraine and over 9 million people have crossed the Ukrainian border since Russia invaded the country. Almost 2.2 millions Ukrainian citizens had to leaved their home in eastern Ukraine. Unfortunately, they currently have no place to come home to because their houses have been destroyed. Ten percent of internally displaced persons have not gotten any assistance from the Ukrainian government. They have dire needs, especially in light of winter coming soon. At least three million families are in Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhia, and Kherson regions, that are occupied by the Russian troops. They have no opportunity to buy simple everyday products such as meals, hygiene products, medical supply, and more. Even a simple cold or fever could lead to death! Also, Ukrainians are facing the coldest winter in the history of independence! The room temperatures are expected to be at 13-14°C inside homes at best during winter.

Friends Of Be An Angel Inc

Our mission is to protect LGBTQ+ youth in Poland from the harms of homelessness and refugeehood. 

The Warsaw House Foundation's mission is to protect homeless and refugee  LGBTQ+ youth in Poland and provide them with the tools they need to live independently. Our inspiration was the  Ali Forney Center  (AFC)  n NYC, which is largest organization in the world offering support to homeless LGBTQ+ youth. We are honored that Carl Siciliano, the AFC's founder is on the board of the Warsaw House Foundation and works as an advisor. We place extra attention on HIV and STI education, support and prevention with the help of board member Dr. Joanna Kubica and the Smart Life Clinic in Warsaw.  After we took in our first LGBTQ+ youth to house on February 14th, 2023  we have been flooded with calls for housing and support from young people in need.  These are Polish Trans 18 year-olds from the Polish countryside in desperate need to escape their abusive and intolerant homes, young queer people with PTSD and untreated mental illness who need housing and support immediately, LGBTQ+ refugees from Ukraine and several young gay men from Iraq who suffered torture in their homeland, were detained and imprisoned at the Polish/Belarussian border for up to two years, and are now trying to build their lives in Poland.  We are also housing and supporting young LGBTQ+ people from Uganda and Egypt,  We are raising money to support the young people under our care, to house and feed them and pay for their medical needs and courses needed for them to start an independent life,  We are also raising money to hire staff (all of WH's work is now done by volunteers), to continue the renovation of our residential building and for short term emergency rentals.  We have a committed and professional team and a well planned strategy for both emergency and long term care.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!! When communities throughout the world are struggling, education is often the first casualty. The Learn + Earn initiative is committed to changing this narrative. By leveraging AI-driven, personalized learning, we help students catch up on years of lost education by providing them with the technology needed for remote learning and the right tools to thrive.

Our program personalizes education, ensuring that every child, regardless of their circumstances, can master essential concepts at their own pace and excel. Inspired by our ability to tailor learning for students at all levels, we decided to expand our definition of 'all'. Our aim? To provide access, tools, and motivation to students in need across the globe.

Learn + Earn currently serves 1,000 Ukrainian students who have been displaced to neighboring countries by helping them to catch up in English and math. We provide laptops, training, a personalized curriculum for each student, and an AI tutor that ensures the kids are engaged and achieving their maximum potential.

Learn and Earn Awards Fund

We are musicians from Odesa, Ukraine, raising money at our concerts to support our country, our city, and our people.

KMLX is the Philanthropic Arm of the musical group [Kommuna Lux](https://kommunalux.com/).  When war came to their country in 2022, these musicians soon realized they could do more good with their instruments than with guns.  They began raising funds at their concerts in Europe, for charitable projects back home. They decided to tour the United States in 2023, and were so successful that they founded this 501-c3 nonprofit for their future tours.  We all welcome you to come to a concert--[check our website](https://kommunalux.com/events/) to see if we'll be in your town!

With two US tours planned in 2024, the band felt like they could strive for something greater than the small, local projects they had always supported in the past.  They soon found a willing partner in the [Rotary E-Club of Ukraine](https://my.rotary.org/en/club/8c29156a-2419-4c85-b117-be3ac63779f4/details), who had numerous projects in need of funds.  The musicians decided to help supply a new type of hospital bed for victims of severe burns, to hospitals serving the front lines.

For every dollar donated to KMLX, 30% will go directly to this project. The Rotarians have identified at least 100 other requests for these beds.  We hope to help every hospital in Ukraine!

The other 70% of your donation will continue to support our regular grassroots causes, such as food, water, and medicine to besieged cities, bomb shelters and other safety projects in our hometown of Odesa, and our direct support of the heroes at the front with gear, tools, and vehicles.

Emile Foundation (formerly Orphans Feeding Foundation) was founded in the Netherlands, with a primary goal to support orphans and vulnerable communities in Western Kenya, who had to fight poverty, hunger and corruption to survive. Over the past decade, the organization has provided medicine and food to various orphanages in Asia and Africa, raised funds to fight against hunger and poverty in Europe, and built schools in various remote locations of Africa.

In February 2022, as the full-scale war on Ukraine broke out, the foundation activated its network of government members, ambassadors, pharmaceutical companies and logistics providers to deliver - in person - emergency humanitarian relief to the civilians and hospitals all along the front line, from Kharkiv to Kherson. Over the next 2 years, more than 150 tons of food, medicine, generators, stoves and warm winter clothes were personally delivered to hospitals and civilians in need, oftentimes under constant shelling.

Since May 2023, Emile Foundation works under a Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Presidential Office of Ukraine to support the return of the thousands deported children through their Bring Kids Back UA program.

Thousands of children are known to have been illegally deported away from their homes in Ukraine. And thousands more are still missing! According to the Ukrainian authorities, 19,546 Ukrainian children have been identified as illegally displaced. But this number is very likely much higher, as it is impossible to know exactly what happens beyond the front line. The opposition even claims to have “saved” 744,000 Ukrainian children from the war, while the Yale Institute estimates the number to be between 200,000 and 300,000.

In the past few months, Emile Foundation has been able to successfully return 48 children from Russian deportation. And we are in a position to return many more with your help!

Humanitarian aid for the most vulnerable people in Ukraine​ 


We are all following the news - the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian military is creating one of the largest humanitarian crises in the world, with millions of people in need of food, shelter, and emergency assistance.  In consultation with local partners, the King Baudouin Foundation United States (KBFUS) launched a Humanitarian Response Fund for Ukraine. The fund is pooling contributions, to be distributed to three local nonprofits working on the frontlines - Caritas Ukraine, People in Need Ukraine, and the Polish Red Cross.     These three organizations work hard to provide food, shelter and medical assistance to vulnerable individuals across Ukraine and to the hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians who are seeking refuge across borders. People in Need - Ukraine https://www.peopleinneed.net/ Established in 1992 by a group of Czech war correspondents, People in Need is one of the biggest nonprofit organizations in Central Europe. Its core focus is on humanitarian assistance, based on the ideals of humanism, freedom, equality, and solidarity. Its local team is now working out of Lviv in western Ukraine, where the situation is deteriorating rapidly. They arrange for convoys of trucks loaded with humanitarian aid - food, hygiene items, diapers, sleeping bags, mats, and other goods - to assist the hundreds of thousands of internally displaced people flocking to the city and provide support to those waiting for safe crossing into the Slovak Republic. With more than 40 local organizations in 20 regions of Ukraine, Caritas Ukraine is dedicated to assisting vulnerable persons affected by traumatic events—regardless of age, sex, nationality, religious or political beliefs. Since 2014, following Russia's annexation of Crimea, Caritas Ukraine has been providing humanitarian assistance to hundreds of thousands of  survivors of hostilities in Ukraine, especially vulnerable groups -children, single parents, people living with disability, and the elderly. Caritas Ukraine is currently providing food, clean water, shelter and hygiene kits across Ukraine and at Ukrainian borders. Polish Red Cross  https://pck.pl  The Polish Red Cross is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. Since the beginning of the armed conflict in Ukraine, hundreds of thousands of people have crossed the Polish border – mainly women and children seeking shelter. The Polish Red Cross is providing food, shelter and medical assistance to Ukrainian refugees arriving in Poland. Volunteers and employees of the Polish Red Cross organize reception points along the Polish-Ukrainian border and are also present at railway stations in various cities across Poland.  KBFUS is a 501(c)(3) public charity. Donors may claim the maximum tax benefits allowed by U.S. tax law for their contributions. We use magic to create a just world full of possibility in communities worldwide. Entertaining, Educating and Empowering.

We believe that learning, practicing, and performing magic transform at-risk youth’s lives by awakening dreams and the hope that the impossible is possible. 

I the past year we have visited Ukraine in three ocations and have created our education chapter there, in Lviv.

We created a unique long-term education program that increases a child’s self-confidence, discipline, focus, and self-esteem. This allows them to raise themselves out of poverty and enthusiastically create a hopeful future. 
	
This program is implemented in the slums of big cities. Mainly in Latin America: Bogotá, Medellín, Barranca de Upía (Colombia), Curridabat (Costa Rica) Ahuachapan, Santa Ana, San Salvador (El Salvador) , India (Mumbai), Cape Town (South Africa) and the United States. The magic classes of 10-20 children meet weekly to learn, practice and eventually perform magic. These classes continue for at least a year; some have been going on for as long as seven years. 

We also give them entrepreneurial skills training so that they can sell magic services to gain extra income.

Since 2002, Magicians Without Borders has traveled to over thirty countries using magic to entertain, educate and empower. By UN estimates we have entertained over 500,000 of the most forgotten people in the world –mostly refugees and orphans living in desperate, difficult and often war torn parts of the world. Detailed accounts of this work can be found on our Our Travels page. We are also educating children in Santa Ana, El Salvador, Mumbai, India and Bogata, Colombia to become magicians. As they study magic, they develop self-confidence, self-esteem, discipline, focus and a sense of personal power. We have also established a Scholarship fund to empower these children to finish High School and go on to college, nursing school, and culinary school.

We empower refugees by helping them reclaim access to education, develop modern media skills, and pursue professional employment.

At ReFOCUS Media Labs, our mission is to empower asylum seekers and refugees by equipping them with modern media skills to overcome the challenges they face, such as limited access to education, language barriers, financial constraints, mental health support, skills training and job placement. 

US-BASED DONATIONS ARE 100% TAX DEDUCTIBLE

Through our three Media Labs (Lesvos, Athens, Krakow) workshops and original content productions on location (Amsterdam, Berlin, Athens, Krakow) we provide comprehensive education in photography, filmmaking, audio engineering, and graphic design. Moreover, we actively collaborate with our students in the production of impactful dramatic films and documentaries.

Established in 2017 in Lesvos, Greece as a pilot project when we supported the residents of the infamous Moria refugee camp. in 2019 we officially registered ReFOCUS Media Labs as a foundation in Poland, and started formalizing our work. In 2022 we expanded our efforts by adding new media labs in Athens (GR) and Krakow (PL).  Athens was established to support refugees who struggled to secure access to education and job placement in the Greek system, and Krakow was created to support the massive influx of Ukrainian refugees who fled to Poland after the full-scale Russian invasion. Our work throughout our global network of media creation labs demonstrates our commitment to empowering our community members, and ensuring they have a seat at the table in determining our present and future direction. 

Our mission is to transform lives through education, career training, and psychosocial support, and ultimately sustainable employment. 

In Greece, we primarily work with minors and young adults, who are either stuck in the asylum system or struggling to integrate after receiving minimal asylum protection.  In Poland, our focus groups are women and young adults who fled the war, and now put down roots in Poland.  A key highlight of our training is the creation of professional portfolios, an essential tool that enables our beneficiaries to effectively showcase themselves to potential employers. This part of our program is particularly important as many refugees arriving in Europe have faced educational disparities due to conflict, poverty or discrimination in their home countries. Even those who have a university degree often struggle to be recognized in Europe as education systems in their home countries often fail to meet EU standards. As a result, many higher education graduates are forced to adapt and accept employment well below their skill and education level. In most cases this leads to exploitation on the European labor market.

Our programming aims to break the cycle of disadvantage that refugees and asylum seekers encounter in the labor market. By providing a platform for our students to showcase their original work, share their stories, and employ them as teachers, lab coordinators and co-creators we empower them to become skilled professionals within the global media industry. But our work goes beyond the technical training by providing foundational support and safe spaces for people with refugee backgrounds to be accepted and flourish. Put simply, we treat the whole human being. 

Since our establishment in 2017, we have successfully certified hundreds of media students, produced feature films and music videos; internationally published original photography and graphic design, and collaborated with mainstream media partners on investigative reportage.

We've been featured in National Geographic, collaborated on investigative reports with Forensic Architecture, Human Rights Watch, BBC Newsnight, Aljazeera, the Guardian, and BBC Panorama, and also produce our own original podcast "Fractured", which focuses upon refugee issues and human rights violations in Europe and around the world.

What sets ReFOCUS apart is our dedication to mentoring students beyond the traditional classroom setting. We actively collaborate with our students to create compelling films and documentaries based on their own scripts and concepts. Since 2019 ReFOCUS has produced several films directed, filmed and edited by our students and alumni including  “Even After Death”, “Nothing About Us Without Us”, “Dancing Bells”, “Dead End”, Interview" and "Erantzun", all of which were written and directed by community members.

Our films and work has been internationally recognised and showcased at prestigious film festivals worldwide, including the Human Rights Film Festival Berlin (DE), Movies that Matter Film Festival (Hague, NL), CPH:DOX (Copenhagen, DK), Melbourne International Film Festival (AU), Rotterdam International Film Festival (NL), IDFA (Amsterdam, NL), New Delhi International Film Festival (India), the World International Film Festival (Amsterdam, NL), and the (in)Justice Film Festival (Chicago, US) and many more. 

In recent years we have expanded to reach larger audiences and provide even more community members with employment and pathways to develop their own careers as freelance media creators. We also take a local approach to ensure the settled communities we work with have foundational support. A great example of this local approach is our Art Under Pressure Arts Festival, which was inaugurated in Athens, Greece (May 2023). The festival provided a platform for artists from Athens, both from within our community and the greater cultural community, to showcase their music, art, performance, design, photography, films and critical reportage on issues the community faces. In 2024 the festival will travel throughout Europe and North America in an effort to activate new local communities of artist who can learn from one another and create together. 

At the heart of our organization is a fundamental belief that individuals can make a difference in the issues they see in the world. Our extensive experience in the field working on the front line of the "refugee crisis" in Europe proves that civil actions can have a massive impact in the lives of people at risk, especially when media and governments claim otherwise. These challenges are not intractable, rather they are opportunities for us to think creatively, and work collectively to ensure we build the societies we know are possible. 

And so we remain committed to helping people with real lives in crisis develop the real skills needed to pursue the real futures they envision. No matter how many times the fast news frames people in need as "takers" and "burdens", we are proving every day that it is possible to cultivate givers who enhance and power our society into the future.

Often the only option for people who want to make a difference is either give to a large administration-heavy organisation, or blindly make an online donation to an unknown group or individual which claims to be doing the most immediate and impactful work.

We provide grants to support high-impact and innovative frontline work across various issues, without burdening grassroots organisations/individuals (which are often 100% focused on doing the actual work) with having to produce project grants. 

Our chain-of-trust is created by seeing for ourselves the work, and meeting the people who do the work. 

For example, we went to Kharkiv in Ukraine to meet 'Tony,' an English volunteer first responder. He has his own response vehicle. With missiles hitting the city daily, he doesn't have time to apply for a project grant! He's literally hands-on saving lives every day. He needs tourniquets and Israeli bandages. His option is to use his own savings, or borrow from friends. Planet Humana stepped in to provide a cash grant to purchase those items, and to keep him and his crew and cars mobile.

Planet Humana draws its funds from a small circle of high wealth individuals. We outsource almost all our administration. We are growth-limited, with a view to maximising the flow of funds straight to where it makes the biggest difference. We're hands-on, and boots-on-the-ground.

In 2011 a University of Texas at Arlington study abroad trip to Eastern Europe birthed a deep desire in team members to help children in area orphanages. After meeting some family members of the largest Eastern European family, with over 50 adopted children, several conversations between Chris Burgin, Founder and CEO, Dr. Tatiana Baeva, Director of International Relations, and others led them to seek ways to render change. They set out to encourage and empower Eastern European university students to help orphans develop life skills in order to escape the poverty and hopelessness that awaits them.

In-country university students are uniquely positioned to reach the younger generation. Allies trains and invests in teams of university students to work with local orphanages. As mentors, these students build relational bridges, model the character of Christ and teach life skills to the orphans. Amity was established in March 2022 with the purpose to provide resettlement residential and life essential support to Ukrainian crisis refugees, who fled to the Czech Republic.  AMITY's Founder and Executive Director, Kimberly Bianchini-Scudellari, and Filippo Bianchini-Scudellari, the CEO of AMRES, a Prague based commercial real-estate firm, collaborated to provide available residential housing units to Ukrainian crisis refugee families and individuals seeking refuge, resettlement and safety in the Czech Republic. Shortly after, they established AMITY as a not-for-profit organization to expand the capacity to support more Ukrainian crisis refugees. MISSION AND GOALS AMITY's mission is to provide residential and life essential support to incoming Ukrainian crisis refugees, who have fled to the Czech Republic. AMITY helps Ukrainian crisis refugees to resettle in the Czech Republic and become self-sufficient, providing them support in various life aspects, including: Residential Housing, Vocational Services, Educational Programming Enrollment, Food Supply, Wellness and Health Support, Social Assimilation,  Community Cultural Guidance. PAST AND CURRENT ACTIVITIES Since March 2022, AMITY has provided residential housing support to hundreds of Ukrainian crisis refugees. To date, AMITY is housing over 100 Ukrainian crisis refugees in residential apartments in Prague. The vast majority of AMITY's households sustain an external income and are contributing towards rent and life essential expenses.  All AMITY school-age children are enrolled in local schools. All AMITY individuals maintain established Czech Republic health insurance enrollment, and are registered with a Primary Health Care Provider or Pediatrician. We are a charity fund on a mission to introduce disruptive technologies in the humanitarian emergency response in Ukraine.

Team4UA is a Ukrainian charitable foundation that emerged in Spring 2022 with the aim of providing assistance to Ukraine and its citizens. Thanks to its sister charity HIT 501(c)(3), it may receive donations in the United States. 

Initially, the foundation undertook the evacuation of refugees and the delivery of humanitarian aid, becoming a key partner to several UN agencies (WFP, UNICEF, IOM, Mercy Corps) in Ukraine.

**The largest educational facility ever 3D-printed for displaced children in Lviv, Ukraine**

Additionally, Team4UA began implementing projects for reconstruction, utilizing advanced 3D concrete printing technologies. Our pilot project is a 3D-printed school in Lviv. Why a school? Because it was identified as a priority by the Lviv City Council, which hosts hundreds of thousands of displaced persons. The project was implemented together with Team4UA's Danish partners COBOD and 3DCP Group, as well as the general contractor Rembud and subcontractor 7CI.

The prestigious Kyiv architect bureau Balbek designed the 506 square meter building to host 4 classrooms with a capacity of some 100 pupils. The building is an inclusive space capable of accommodating all categories of students, including those with special needs. 

The construction took place in May-June 2023. Our teams were present on the site during six weeks in order to study and learn about the functioning of the COBOD 3D printer, to conduct some research and development and to welcome visiting delegations. The active phase of 3D printing the 506 square meter building took 40 hours. 

The foundations and the walls are built. The whole structure was also thermo-insulated before the onset of winter. The next steps include installing windows and doors, carrying out engineering works (plumbing, electrical, etc.), and completing some interior design.

**Reconstruction with 3D concrete printing**

Furthermore, the fund works on the project of a 3D-printed bridge, which is planned to be installed in the Kherson region. Team4UA is also considering other reconstruction projects in collaboration with the municipal and regional authorities of Mykolaiv.

3D Concrete Printing (3DCP) is an advanced technology that uses software to control the placement of materials to create a 3D object or structure using a robotic printer without standard formwork. This allows for the creation of complex geometries in a fully automated mode, providing greater efficiency in constructing complex concrete objects. This provides absolute freedom in architectural creativity and design.

The key advantages compared to traditional construction are numerous. Automation allows a team of 5 workers to operate per printer, reducing labor costs, minimizing risks, and increasing accuracy. The speed and quick execution allow printing up to 1 meter per minute. Environmental friendliness is ensured by efficient material use, waste reduction, the possibility of using only local materials or recycled debris from demolished buildings, and a smaller amount of cement than the standard concrete recipe, providing results 6 times stronger.

Reducing environmental impact involves reducing CO2 emissions by up to 70% compared to conventional construction methods through material savings of up to 50% with less cement in the concrete recipe. 3D concrete printing technology has already been tested in several countries worldwide, such as the USA, Germany, Kenya, Malawi, and others, for residential and commercial projects.

WHO WE ARE 
	Doctors with Africa CUAMM is the biggest Italian organization for the 
	 promotion of health among African populations . CUAMM implements long-term projects to improve access to health services, especially for women, girls, children and marginalized people. We operates in 8 sub-Saharan African countries ( Angola, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania,Uganda and Central African Republic ) at hospitals, health centers and community level with more than 2,000 workers. AN INTEGRATED LOGISTICAL-MEDICAL INTERVENTION IN CHERNIVETSKA AND TERNOPILSKA OBLASTS Overview As a consequence of the ongoing armed violence and rapidly deteriorating security environment in most parts of Ukraine, over 18 million people have been affected by the conflict and 6 million of them are in urgent need of humanitarian support (Ukraine PHSA-Short Form, 3/3/2022), where the population most represented are women, children, older people, persons with disabilities, and ethnic minorities. Description Before the conflict, the procurement and supply of medicines, especially specialized drugs , was centralized in Kiev. With the conflict the all supply chain has been interrupted and most of the region of Ukraine have been left without stocks of drugs, consumables and medical supplies. In this crisis, the three main health risks that need to be addressed, identified by WHO, are Non-Communicable Disease (NCDs) being the leading cause of death in Ukraine (death occurring before the age of 70 years) even before the conflict; HIV-TB (with among the highest rate in Europe) and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), since all of them foresee a strong retention into treatment. The conflict has disrupted many distributors which became non-operational, hampering the supply chains for medicines and medical supplies (especially procurement and distribution of medicines, of diagnostic materials and of treatments). For this reason, many people fail to remain retained into treatment, especially those with chronic medical conditions (both communicable and not communicable) such as diabetes, hypertension and cancer. Key attention must then be given to the health of people with disabilities and older persons (more than 60 years old) more prone to both NCDs and infectious diseases Objective CUAMM's intervention, based on its needs assessments, will mainly focus on health-related logistics activities (aimed at immediately procuring and delivering life-saving medicines) but also with the additional component of ensuring mobile health clinics in 2 targeted oblasts (Chernivetska and Ternopilska), with the final goal of ensuring access to PHC to the population residing in the most remote areas, as well as identifying severe cases to be promptly referred to a higher level of care. Černivici is currently accessible only via the Romanian border (Siret) due to attacks reported the Ivano-Frankivs'k area is isolated from the polish border. For this reason the project will ensure international quality procurement of medicines and supplies, delivered them to Černivici via Siret. Outputs 1) Provide essential and specialized medicines and supply to Ukrainian hospitals;  2) strengthening the medicines and medical supply of VRB hub, a Ukrainian community-based organization called Volonterskiy ruh Bukovyny   in Černivci and its distribution capacity;  3) Organize mobile clinics in the Chernivetska and Ternopilska Oblasts
