The Last Mile, a nonprofit based in San Francisco, is the first program in the United States to provide in-prison software engineering training.
We believe that having a job is the key to successful reentry and breaking the cycle of incarceration. Our mission is to prepare students for employment with high-demand job skills and provide continued mentorship post-release.
TLM Alumni are working in the technology business sector at companies like Slack, VMware, Pilot, Checkr, Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and more. They are returning to their communities as role models and #pavingtheroadtosuccess for others to follow.
