Peace by Peace - Jeunes Artisans de Paix

Peace by Peace is a general interest association dedicated to the younger generations. Its objective is to make them aware of the chance we have to live today in the West on peaceful soil. We therefore organize many events and demonstrations as part of their school programs, to awaken, educate and sensitize them to this notion of peace, through dialogue, respect, knowledge of "the other", d 'a form of global citizenship and friendship between peoples. In order to illustrate in a fun and educational way and to arouse their interest in this universal and timeless cause of peace. Peace by Peace aims to create, in a desire for personal commitment of each and every one, workshops adapted to each age group and school level in line with their programs. For the youngest, it is through history, tales, poems, plastic art creation (illuminations, coats of arms ...), songs that we evoke peace to them. From the age of 10, we organize memorial tours on the Normandy sites of the Caen Memorial, Omaha Beach, Utah, Sainte Mère Eglise, then offer them engagement workshops, writing in the form of role-play in teams of creating a writing in the form of a letter, a newspaper article, a theater or comic book dialogue and a poem or a fable then its oral presentation in front of all the class. Finally, for 16-18 year olds, we have set up a workshop for them to write the New Peace Treaties nowadays, in the form of charters, using as an example articles from the UN, UNESCO, the Treaty of Rome... For the sake of meetings and sharing, we organize interdisciplinary peace sports meetings for 14-15 year olds, in partnership with the Olympic Committee, to which we invite public, private, international, priority establishments and with pupils with mild disabilities. For 16-18 year olds, it is around prestigious sites such as the National Museum of Invalides and strong personalities that we present symposiums, round tables, conferences-exchanges such as: La Paix, challenge du XXIème siècle with Helen Patton, Emmanuel Leclerc d'Hautecloque, Alexandra Navacelle de Coubertin, Raphaël Dunant, Bernard Cazeneuve, Laurent Stefanini, Peace from East to West or Brexit from the United Kingdom to Poland, Peace in all its states at the Foundation Jean Monet for Europe; or our last big event in June 2019 (75th anniversary of the landing), in front of more than 300 young people entitled War and Peace, hosted by Susan Eisenhower, Helen Patton, Laurent de Gaulle and Bettina Adenauer.
