Since our founding in 1983, the Medellín Philharmonic Orchestra has not only filled the concert halls of Colombia but has also touched lives worldwide through the universal language of music. Our mission extends beyond unforgettable performances; we are deeply committed to the incredible ongoing social and cultural transformation of Medellín through extensive community engagement. From offering free concerts in local neighborhoods to spearheading educational initiatives in schools, we strive to make music accessible to all, regardless of economic and social barriers.

We believe in the transformative power of music as a tool for unity and holistic development. Through partnerships with global cultural institutions, we bring a slice of Medellín’s vibrant culture to the world stage, fostering an international community of music lovers. But we can’t do it without the generous support of our donors, as only 2% of our revenue comes from ticket sales for our performances.

Your support enables us to continue these programs and directly impact and nurture of the next generation of musicians and audiences.  Every donation contributes to a story of change weather it is a highly talented musician that makes part of the orchestra, a young violinist from the banana region of Urabá, o neurodiverse young woman that has the possibility to learn music, an elder that can use music to help his Alzheimer's disease, a young man that uses musicotherapy for his anxiety and many more
