Lil BUB’s Big Fund exists to advocate for special needs companion animals and build a community that celebrates and fosters the human-animal bond. With a focus on animals that are the most difficult to adopt, the most expensive to care for, and are at a high risk of euthanasia.
Lil BUB’s Big Fund provides access to care for special needs pets nationwide. We work with community leaders, shelters, and rescues nationwide to create special needs focused frameworks. We visit schools to promote kindness and inclusion. Through our work, we share BUB’s message of overcoming adversity and the knowledge that the things that make us different are worthy of being seen and appreciated.

Help Gato and Special Needs Pets Live Their Best Lives 🐾
Dear Friends, We're reaching out to share the story of a brave cat named Gato, who, like many others, needs your help to live a happy and healthy life. Meet Gato Gato, a 12-year-old feline, came to us in a dire state, hungry and severely ill due to a painful disease known as feline stomatitis. This condition causes severe inflammation throughout the mouth, making life extremely uncomfortable for our furry friends. Gato's Journey Our dedicated shelter veterinarian, Dr. Holly, worked tirelessly, extracting all of Gato's teeth except for her canines and treating her with antibiotics. Gato now requires steroid injections every other month to maintain her health. She spends her days in our Operations Manager's office and her nights in a custom-built kitty house, lovingly constructed by staff. How You Can Help We aim to raise funds not only for Gato but for countless special needs pets nationwide who deserve love and care.
