The Islamic Center of San Francisco has been a pillar of the Muslim community in the city for over 70 years. Our mosque serves as a spiritual home for Muslims from all walks of life, providing a space for congregational prayers, Quranic study, and community gatherings.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of our community to continue providing these essential services. Your support allows us to maintain our facilities, provide educational programs, and offer assistance to those in need.

Hiring a full-time Imam and Female Scholar

Providing after-school Islamic classes to boys and girls

Daily prayers throughout the year

Hosting various family nights and programs for the community

In Islam, giving to charity is considered one of the most virtuous acts of worship. Allah (SWT) has said in the Quran, "Those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah and do not follow up their spending with reminders of their generosity or injure (the feelings of the recipients), their reward is with their Lord. They will have no fear, nor will they grieve." (2:262)

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives another person but that Allah increases his honor, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah but that Allah raises his status."
