Founded in 1976, Friendship Center is a non-profit adult day program licensed through the California Department of Social Services.

Friendship Center provides subsidized day care programs and services to older and dependent adults living with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, other forms of dementia and related conditions across varied stages. Our program is also designed for older adults who are experiencing physical limitations or are socially isolated.

Our center caters to the behavioral and health-related symptoms of dementia. We are a secure facility and our staff are trained to gently redirect worrying, agitation, and wandering. Attending the day program can help our members sleep soundly through the night. We assist with activities of daily living such as eating, walking, sitting and standing, and toileting.

Our location on Miramar Beach in Montecito, near Santa Barbara on the California Central Coast, is ideal for year-round outdoor activities and experiences. Our members enjoy sunny days on our patio and butterfly garden, nature walks, beach outings, and much more.
