Equilibrium Foundation - „create a fairer world“

The Equilibrium Foundation was founded in 2014 as a non-profit social impact organisation based in Germany. Following our principles, especially with our core values of empathy and respect , we act according to our motto: " Act Local, Think Global " to create a fairer world.
Our social vision is to create a greater social and economic balance between disadvantaged and privileged people in the global South. We achieve that through our social mission to empower disadvantaged people, microentrepreneurs and non-profit organisations in the global South in the areas of education, culture and environment. The associated core activities of the Equilibrium Foundation consist of project management, resourcing, education and training. Since its inception, Equilibrium Foundation conducted 12 projects with several community based non-profit organisations in Asia, Africa and Central America. Our team in Germany consists of interdisciplinary activists who all work on a voluntary basis, so that almost every cent of the donations goes into the projects.
One of our current innovative projects is the „Vocational Training and Professional Inclusion of Mayans with Hearing Disabilities as Software Programmers in Guatemala". In the 2 nd year our local partner organisation Todos Somos Uno is empowering a group of 11 Guatemalan Mayans with hearing disabilities to receive financial remuneration for work as members of a team of software programmers, graphic designers, and IT trainers. With further donations, we can buy for that project computer equipment for the participants and get one step closer to the vision of the 1st software training center for Mayans with hearing disabilities in Guatemala.
