Dream Day Foundation (Jordan)
The Dream Day Foundation is dedicated to funding and supporting music and arts programs in refugee camps around the world.
Of the 108.4 million forcibly displaced people, an estimated 43.3 million are children below 18 years of age.
YOUNG REFUGEES FACE CHALLENGES, INCLUDING HOMESICKNESS, CULTURE SHOCK, UNEMPLOYMENT, RACISM AND DISCRIMINATION.
These can lead them become disengaged and socially isolated, with long-term consequences for their success and wellbeing. For these young people, the Arts can provide a means to express repressed emotions, confront painful memories and transcend daily hardship.
