Updated on the 27th of January: From Crisis to Recovery: Supporting Lebanon Together
Lebanon has just emerged from a devastating 66-day war, leaving the entire country grappling with destruction and loss. The scale of devastation is unimaginable: lives shattered, homes destroyed, and even some of the nation’s most iconic cultural landmarks reduced to ruins. This conflict has triggered one of Lebanon’s worst humanitarian crises since 2006, displacing 1.4 million people. The human toll is staggering: 3,768 lives lost, over 15,000 injured, and more than 99,000 homes in urgent need of repair. Although a ceasefire has been declared, the road to recovery remains daunting.
At DPNA, we are committed to ensuring no one is left behind. Our mission is simple but essential: to provide care, support, and stability while helping communities rebuild with dignity. We are currently focusing our efforts on the most affected areas, supporting local municipalities with equipment and volunteers to clear debris, distributing basic assistance, and addressing immediate needs by providing food and hygiene supplies to those impacted by the war.
In addition to these critical interventions, we are working to restore hope and happiness in the community. As part of this effort, we are organizing a unifying event that brings together 16 youth committees and implementing psychosocial support (PSS) activities in the beautiful city of Tyre. We are determined to expand our initiatives to reach all affected areas, helping communities rebuild stronger together.
But we cannot do this alone. We urgently need your support. Every donation—no matter how small—makes a difference. Your kindness could mean a warm blanket for a child, a hot meal for a family, or a safe place to rest for someone who has lost everything. Together, we can bring hope back to those who need it most.
