Development Alert exists to identify, develop and promote talent, projects, programs and activities on and related to the fight against the causes and consequence of poverty, ill health, community water shortage, illiteracy, biodiversity loss and marginalization for livelihoods improvements and Environmental conservation.
MISSION
To provide a comprehensive and sustainable reprieve from poverty, biodiversity, loss, misfortune, disability, destitution, and hopelessness, experienced by individuals, communities, and the environment in partnership with organizations involved in the same.

RECENT ACHIEVEMENTS
Since 2020, the organization has supported over 634 vulnerable and disadvantaged children (girls and boys) with scholastic materials to keep in school that is; supplying 7,608 Exercise Books and 3,170 Pens/pencils. In addition, provided school lunch to 400 children, provided 15 scholarships and training opportunities to bright children and students for access education and training at different levels of education to ensure better livelihoods. In terms of ensuring good health, the organization has drilled a community Borehole providing access to clean and safe water to a whole village of over 1000 people and more recently, supported the formation and provided startup funds for 50 Members of Village Loans and Savings Association. To promote employment and household income among the young talents, the organization supplied 9 brand new sewing machines and startup fabrics to nine young female tailors to start tailoring business, supported 10 elderly in the community with basic needs such as housing, clothing, feeding, and medical support and lastly, planted over 7000 trees with communities as a way of diversifying access to wood fuel and income, increase tree cover and conserve the environment- https://da.or.ug/our-impact/.
FUTURE ACTIVITIES
Development Alert aims to provide close to 13,000 people in greater Paya Sub-County who are currently without access to clean and safe water, Provide house facility to teachers of St. Bernard Mwenge Primary School and other 16 Primary Schools in the region, support vulnerable and orphaned children with scholastic materials and other supplies for them to keep in school, provide the youth with financial and other inputs to allow them engage in income generating activities for livelihoods improvement, employment and income, support women and youth groups with need based resources for economic empowerment and improved household income, support the elderly in the community with basic needs, promote conservation and environment protection among others
