The Communauté Estudiantine Burundaise de Nakivale (CEBUNA) is a non-profit and youth-led organization, created by refugees to support other young fellow refugees and enable them to become self-reliant and to thrive in their host country of Uganda. La Communauté Estudiantine Burundaise de Nakivale (CEBUNA) was founded on the 1st January 2016 by Young Refugees from Burundi as a non-profit making and non-political community based organization. The organization was created in the desire to answer positively the hardships of life and fight against ignorance, as well as to take an active role in the sustainable development within Nakivale refugee settlement by keeping busy young refugees through professional trainings, reinforcement of languages, pleading for continuity of studies for those who fled before completion, Entrepreneurship and child-care program. The goal of the organization is to promote our fellow young refugees and provides opportunities by devising a bright future for Nakivale youth. Assist and support children through child-care program, develop a self-reliance spirit in young refugees who fled their country of origin and school dropout. CEBUNA is dedicated to the improvement of life standard of youth, children and works alongside Nakivale youth, whatever the context offering them assistance and supporting them in their efforts to become self reliant, with a mission and purpose of helping them to integrate in Ugandan education and working system in order to appear and compete effectively on the job market. In order to achieve this, CEBUNA works with different range of stakeholders, partners to foster cooperation and joint work for the purpose of achieving its objectives and mission.
