Bottomless Closet is a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in 1999 with the mission to empower disadvantaged New York City women to enter the workforce and achieve success. Through a “women-helping-women” model, the vision of our founders was that each woman would be equipped with the skills and tools she needed to be successful at her job interview and develop in her career.
Twenty-five years on from our founding, we have supported almost 50,000 New York City women on their journeys out of poverty. Today, we have the broadest range of programs in our history, including career coaching, resume preparation, professional outfitting and a broad workshop curriculum focused on financial and digital literacy, professional development and more.
We continue to evolve our services to reflect changes in the job market, the hiring process and the needs of our clients and are committed to empowering more women in need in New York City to be able to provide for themselves and their families.
