We are a non-profit Civil Association that is part of United Way Worldwide, a global organization recognized as the largest community of social investors, donors, activists and volunteers in the world, with more than 135 years of experience and with a presence in more than 37 countries and territories, 11 of them in Latin America.Our purpose is to ensure education and health for children under 6 years of age through investment in human capital to break the cycle of poverty and achieve a more competitive country.

Our mission is to promote the education and integral health of children between 0 and 7 years of age through scalable and replicable initiatives that involve and mobilise key actors in Peruvian society; and our vision is: To be recognised as a leading institution in early childhood education and health.

2002

We began operations in Peru as Caminando Juntos, and then changed our corporate name to United Way Perú

2015

We focus the impact on Early Childhood Development and the implementation of the Birth Learning Program begins

2016

The initial level educational project Nacer Aprendiendo Explora begins in 20 integrated public schools - UGEL 01\

2019

The Birth Learning Ready Now project begins! in 4 health facilities and 305 Non-School Programs - UGEL 01

1. Birth Learning =Nacer Aprendiendo seeks to contribute to the physical, emotional and cognitive development of boys and girls between 0 and 6 years old so that they can enter primary school prepared to learn.

It is focused on strengthening integrated public schools, as well as community child development centers, with the aim of improving the quality of service, through training and support for teachers, directors, awareness and support of parents and caregivers and the impact on public policies. Our intervention points are located in 5 districts of South Lima, where we actively work together with our partner companies for the health and education of children.
