Alaska Safety Alliance is a member-based organization, driven by the workforce needs of Alaska's industries. We seek solutions to employer-identified training gaps and provide cost-effective training and tools for our members and all employers.
We currently serve Alaska's Oil & Gas, Construction, Maritime and Mining sectors. We are committed to a strong Alaska workforce across all industry sectors. If your sector is not listed, give us a call! We'd love to see how we can help you.
WHAT WE DO
ASA is widely known for managing the North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC), delivering safety training online, maintaining training records, and providing new and
replacement NSTC cards. But our support of industry, safety, and education in Alaska extends much further.
We created ASA ONLINE, as a low-cost tool to help employers track and deliver training efficiently and quickly mobilize their workforce. Designed to be affordable for small contractor businesses and robust enough to meet the needs of any of Alaska's largest Operator companies.
• Access to ASA-developed content, third-party training, and custom company and site-specific courses
• Admin access for employers to assign courses and verify training completion
• Powerful training matrix tool – easily auto assigns courses to new employees and renewal training to current employees
• Integrated online forms
• Equipment and asset tracking
ASA also delivers INSTRUCTOR-LED TRAINING, including:
• AK-CESCL
• First Aid/CPR/AED
• OSHA 10 & 30
Revenue generated by the services and tools we provide to industry is reinvested to SUPPORT VOCATIONAL EDUCATION and WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT statewide through:
• NCCER Sponsorship and certification training
• ASA Registered Apprenticeship in Pipeline Occupations
• Presentations and industry speakers
• Online career awareness materials
• Advocacy for new and established training programs to fill in-demand careers
• Online career awareness materials
