Global Appeal to Fight Famine

In 2023, the world faces a global hunger crisis, with an expected 345.2 million people projected to be food insecure – more than double the number in 2020.

The underlying causes of food insecurity — including armed conflict, climate change, and displacement — disproportionately impact women and girls, making them particularly at risk of hunger, especially when crisis strikes.

Yet, women are the ones leading the work on the ground to ensure the needs of the most vulnerable are met.

The United Nations Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund – together with its partners – is supporting local women's nonprofit organizations working on the frontlines to respond to the urgent food security needs of their communities.

Your gift will help women on the ground provide critical, life-saving assistance in communities facing acute food insecurity and in crisis-affected countries around the world. Join us and give what you can today.
