What our projects have focused on

- Finding shelter for survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual assault
- Finding where free food for youth is served during the summer months when school is out
- Engaging volunteers to complete timely tasks
- Design thinking activities that engage communities in dreaming up technology to solve problems they face
- Providing vulnerable migrant workers with information about their rights, connections to local resources, and anonymous reporting so they can reach people who can help them
- Finding emergency shelter for people who are unhoused

TechSoup equips changemakers with transformative technology solutions and skills they need to improve lives globally and locally.

Since its founding in 1987, TechSoup has increased civil society’s access to and effective use of digital technology, in keeping with our mission — **to build a dynamic bridge that leverages technology to enable connections and innovative solutions for a more equitable planet.** We are a global nonprofit social enterprise, founded in San Francisco, with offices in Warsaw, London, Medellin, Hong Kong, Nairobi, and Manila.

The TechSoup Global Network is a cross-border collaboration of over 50 local partners spanning six continents and working in 53 languages and dialects, dedicated to driving social change through our capacity-building programs. We are dedicated to serving civil society organizations (CSOs) through being proximate to their needs and unique environments.

TechSoup continues to evolve to respond to the changing needs of civil society and to equip the organizations we serve as they work to improve our world. We strive to help (CSOs) become tech-enabled, resilient, and efficient, reaching our mutual goal of better using technology to solve the world’s most pressing needs.

We are committed to supporting civil society in navigating this changing landscape and addressing the challenges and opportunities it presents. TechSoup is particularly focused on the needs of small, grassroots organizations around the world. These organizations are proximate to the issues and see the needs of their communities first. They also bridge the gap between large agencies and "the field," understand the diversity of their communities, and provide context, making aid received more relevant. Last year, 82 percent of organizations served by TechSoup had budgets under US $2M.

**With your donation, we can continue to serve our global community in these ways:**

- Assisting cohorts of CSOs in assessing the robustness of their tech stack and cybersecurity posture and assisting them in advancing their digital transformation
- Building CSO communication skills and technology to counter disinformation and shrinking spaces in civil society by creating positive narratives 
- Developing CSO media literacy and building skills in presenting positive narratives
- Developing CSO digital activism skills for mobilizing people
- Connecting with each other in communities of purpose and practice to share knowledge and digital skills
- Understanding the benefits and risks of AI and building CSO capability to use it in support of mission delivery
