We can do more for these children if we could obtain an oven, food processor, and dishwasher. We also have a need for baking pans, saucepans, tongs, fryers, steamers, graters, and large bowls for preparing salads and to use as serving dishes.

Food Preparation

At IFOSOF, our compass is etched with the vision of a Uganda where no child experiences the pangs of hunger.

Between February 2022 and January 2023, it is projected that over 100,000 children aged 6-59 months and 12,000 pregnant and lactating women will experience acute malnutrition in Uganda. Additionally, almost 37% of children under the age of 15 suffer from chronic malnutrition. To address this issue, it's crucial to address the root cause of malnutrition. It's important to note that simply providing food doesn't necessarily equate to good nutrition. This is a key focus of our mission within the communities we serve in, as well as throughout Uganda.

Our mission is to ensure every child within the communities of the urban poor grows up with dependable access to enough nutritious food to enable them to lead a healthy, productive life.

Our Vision: We dare to envision a Uganda where no child goes to bed hungry. we are dedicated to helping needy families and communities by providing food and assistance to help them today.

Our Objective is to construct a commercial farm for the sole purpose of feeding the hungry child with food and animal produce.  With a core objective of monitoring nutritional status, growth, development, health, and thus the survival of young children below the age of 10 years.

At IFOSOF, we are labouring tirelessly to transform this vision into a tangible reality. Our unwavering mission centres around securing accurate, intricate nutritional data for every child. This data helps us pinpoint regions and communities grappling with high malnutrition rates, and then we swing into action with targeted interventions to abolish child malnutrition.

But our ambitions extend far beyond these initial steps. We firmly believe that education is the cornerstone of lasting success. This belief has led to the creation of the IFOSOF Home Nutri Gardens Training Program. Through this innovative initiative, we equip mothers with the knowledge and skills to cultivate their nutrient-rich vegetables and fruit gardens, empowering them to provide their families with wholesome, balanced meals. With this approach, we're fostering sustainable food production, promoting dietary diversity, and waging a relentless war against malnutrition within households.

We are acutely aware that eradicating child malnutrition is a journey that calls for collective action. This is why we forge alliances with government agencies, international organizations, local communities, and other stakeholders. Together, we're weaving a network of support and resources that will foster enduring, positive change.

At IFOSOF, our compass is etched with the vision of a Uganda where no child experiences the pangs of hunger. We are deeply committed to extending a helping hand to the underprivileged children in our community, and our bonds with local chairpersons and communities run deep. We're not just problem-solvers; we're partners in this quest to combat malnutrition. Our approach is a symphony of AGRICULTURE, NUTRITION, and HEALTH, and we take immense pride in our partnership with local council chairmen (LC) and community mothers as we strive to vanquish malnutrition in these communities. Together, we're weaving a brighter tapestry for the children of Uganda, where hope and nutrition reign supreme.
