Warm Hearts for Ladakh: Giving Season Campaign

This Giving Season, SEEDS invites you to bring warmth to families in Ladakh facing harsh winters and severe cold waves. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ladakh’s winter temperatures often plunge below -20°C (-4°F), with wind chills worsening the already extreme conditions. These harsh temperatures leave vulnerable families, especially children, the elderly, and daily wage earners, at high risk of cold-related illnesses.

Many families living in high-altitude areas descend to lower regions, finding temporary shelter with basic amenities that offer very little protection from the harsh winter chill.

SEEDS, with prior experience in communities like Igoo and Sakti, has seen firsthand the urgent need for essential winter supplies in this region.

To address this, we are raising funds to provide 8,000 Winter Kits, each containing warm blankets, clothing, and other essentials needed to withstand the extreme cold.
