Providing NYC Public Schools the Free Training and Resources to Start and Sustain Student Journalism Programs and Publications

Press Pass NYC equips under-resourced schools with the free faculty training, student resources, and program support necessary to start a sustainable student news publication program. Seeing a school newspaper or news site in every public school in New York City, in the form that’s best for that school and those students, is how our approach will and does make all the difference - and what every donation we receive goes toward.

For example!
$175 funds an in-school journalism writing, interviewing or photojournalism workshop.
$500 funds a stipend for a student editor-in-chief.
$1000 funds a stipend for a teacher adviser's extra time.
$2500 funds a year of workshops for students and advisers.
$5000 fully funds journalism training and resources for one school for a full year.
