Matagiri Sri Aurobindo Center Inc
Matagiri is dedicated to the vision of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother and the international community of Auroville.
It is over 150 years since Sri Aurobindo’s birth and we are doing our best to honor the sacred trust of maintaining and expanding the buildings and grounds of our Center.
Our residential team has worked on landscaping, hosted concerts and cultural events and continuing our online study circles.
We hold weekly hatha yoga classes and Pilates mat classes and special Darshan gatherings.
We maintain a library of over 1200 titles and a bookstore, gallery and boutique with handcrafted gifts from the international community of Auroville. Our gallery features the paintings of Matagiri founder, Sam Spanier. Open by appointment.
