Oh hay there. You're looking sexy in that costume. :)

Thank you for coming to my party - it means so much that you are here. Your presence is the best gift and this fundraiser is absolutely optional.

I am raising money to fund the work of MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies), a non-profit research organization that is leading the charge on safe and effective use of controlled substances to heal people. My foray into this space began in 2015 during a guided ayahuasca ceremony, followed soon after by an ego-shattering psilocybin experience. These events were life-changing and utterly formative to the person I am today. (Ask me more about it!) In 2022, I began volunteering with MAPS to reduce the harm of psychedelic use in recreational settings.

Tonight, I am fundraising specifically for MAPS' effort to run the most advanced psychedelic therapy research in the world: Phase 3 clinical trials of MDMA-assisted therapy for PTSD.

PTSD affects 12 million adults in the US and 350 million people worldwide, and can be debilitating to a person's ability to live, work, love, and thrive. Initial Phase 3 clinical trials results are extremely promising -- 67% of participants no longer met the criteria for PTSD within 2 months, and 88% of participants saw a clinically significant reduction in PTSD diagnostic scores within 3 months.

I believe deeply in this work and its potential to relieve suffering and make the world a more beautiful place, one human at a time. Thank you for considering it!
