Disaster Campaign - Myanmar Earthquake

A powerful earthquake has struck Myanmar and neighbouring regions, leaving devastation in its wake. Communities are in crisis, and the full extent of the damage is only just beginning to emerge.

Medical Action Myanmar (MAM) has always responded to disasters, even in the most challenging circumstances. While we don't normally operate in central Myanmar, we are already assessing how best to support those affected—whether directly, or through trusted local grassroots organizations with access to the hardest-hit areas.

We know from experience that time is critical. That's why we're launching this emergency appeal now. Every donation will help us act quickly—whether it's providing emergency medical aid, supplies, or supporting partners on the ground.

We are in ongoing discussions with our leadership and logistics team to determine the best and safest way to respond. What we can promise is that every penny raised will be used to support those affected by this tragedy.

Aligned with its mission, MAM is trying to respond as much as we can by providing critical medical aid and other support to the most vulnerable communities affected by the force of the earthquake through:

  1.         Medical activities including wound management and general medicine

  2.         Emergency food distribution

  3.         Water & sanitation support

  4.         Cash distribution

Please give what you can miss, and share this page widely.

Thank you,

Medical Action Myanmar
