What is IGNITE the Vote?

• IGNITE the Vote is a movement spearheaded by IGNITE to mobilize Gen Z voters to the polls this election year and beyond. Our IGNITE the Vote Ambassadors help people register to vote, understand and navigate their ballots, and get educated on the significance of voting. 

How is New York involved in IGNITE the Vote?

• Young women across New York City understand the urgent need to actively engage their communities in the voting process. IGNITE participants are leading the charge. For example, on National Voter Registration Day, IGNITE’s Columbia University chapter directly addressed the barriers to voting their peers experience by helping students register to vote and formulate specific voting plans detailing exactly when and where they will vote. In addition, IGNITE will be on the ground registering voters in Brooklyn and Soho with Glossier this weekend. And later this month, IGNITE will lead a voting workshop at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn.

• In less than one month, 41 million Gen Zers will be eligible to cast their vote and choose our leadership at every level of government. Young voters hold immense power.
