The Samuel Baker Fund: Bridging the Gap in Education
- Raised
- $2,455
- Goal
- $25,200
The Samuel Baker Fund is a scholarship fund started in memory of the Late Samuel Baker, who tragically passed away on December 28th, 2018. Sam was a founding member of iDebate and worked tirelessly to impact his community.
To honor his legacy, we started a fund that would sponsor 400 students to attend the Dreamers Academy, a project Sam was deeply passionate about.
The Dreamers Academy Camp, an initiative launched in 2013, has evolved into a transformative platform where students from Rwanda and the East African Region immerse themselves in the art of discourse. Beyond debate, the camp nurtures leadership, critical thinking, and exposure to coding, creative writing, and S.A.T. prep disciplines.
We are hoping to sponsor 400 students this year, which means we have to raise 32,000,000 RWF, which equals $25,200.
Every contribution brings us closer to our goal of sponsoring 400 students and keeping Sam's legacy of community impact alive. Choose your desired level of impact below:
Diamond Donor (15 Students) - $945
