I don't need a thing for my birthday this year - but there are many people in need. 
I'm hoping we can support the Drop-in & Rest or "DARE Center." 

They offer rest and resources to our neighbors experiencing homelessness and their advocates in Lawrence, Kansas. Your generosity will help provide hot cups of coffee, warm showers, and warm weather essentials.

The mission of the Homeless Resource Center, operating as a program of the Coalition for Homeless Concerns, Inc., is to offer a daily refuge with basic services to provide physical and emotional comfort for people who are experiencing homelessness.

I have been homeless, I have been with nothing but a severe drug addiction.  I have lost everything to a house fire before.  We all go through things in life. Some worse than others. But it's about the choices that you make and the steps you take in order to make the life that you want. There are plenty of resources out there to help you if you don't have the things that you need in order to start making those necessary steps, so anything past that is just an excuse. Stop making excuses and start living a life that you want and deserve.   #spread the love, stop the hate.
