Help Us Save More Pets in 2024

Raised
$7,293
Goal
$80,000

In 2021, we opened Gem City Vet, a low-cost, nonprofit veterinary clinic to help Dayton become a no-kill community. Operating Gem City Vet has helped us expand essential programs to help cats and dogs locally by:
• Expanding our Intake Program to take in more homeless cats directly from the public.
• Supporting our Adoption and Foster programs by providing medical treatment for cats in our care and ordering medical supplies at affordable prices
• Offering low-cost wellness care for pets in low-income families to keep pets from suffering or dying from preventable diseases
• Educate pet owners about the importance of spaying and neutering and connecting them with resources in our area
• Keep wanted pets healthy and in their homes, instead of shelters

The high interest rates will impact us significantly this fall, so we are seeking creative and proactive solutions so that we can keep running our programs efficiently and affordably in the present and for years to come.

Every donation toward our $80,000 goal will help Gem City Kitties make the most out of every dollar and use our funds for creating a more compassionate community for cats and dogs in Dayton.

Costs and housing restrictions are part of the crisis with overflowing shelters. Kudos to Gem City Kitties for offering low-cost services through Gem City Vet. Hope you reach the goal by October 2024 for the mortgage.

What a tremendous space for cat lovers and artists, not to mention the great teas I've enjoyed.
