How will the $50,000 be utilized?
The funds raised will be strategically allocated to programs that promote self-reliance among vulnerable refugees at Dzaleka Refugee Camp, focusing on creating sustainable change and reducing aid dependency. Here's how the $50,000 will be used and the impact it will create:
Budget Allocation
1. Vocational Training Program (70% | $35,000) Use: Provide training in tailoring skills to women and youth by equipping the with sewing, designing, marketing, financial management technics to enhance the entrepreneurial capacity to create and operate small businesses. Impact: Equip 400 refugees with employable skills, enabling them to secure jobs or start businesses. 150 launch their own businesses, and 250 job ready beneficiaries.
2. Entrepreneurship Support & Startup Kits (25% | $12,500) Use: Offer small grants, tools, and materials such sewing machines, for graduates of the vocational training to start micro-enterprises. Impact: Empower 150 refugees to launch businesses, creating income and reducing reliance on aid.
3. Program Monitoring & Operational Costs (5% | $2,500)
Use: Cover administrative expenses to ensure efficient implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Impact: Ensure transparency and the effective use of funds to maximize impact.
Projected Impact
1. Short-Term Impact - 400+ individuals directly benefit from vocational skills training and resources. - Immediate reduction in dependency on aid as refugees gain employment or start businesses.
